Had an incredible first experience at Sanya Sunshine Hotel, staying in their ocean view room! The room is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed—the ocean view from the room is absolutely gorgeous, making our stay so relaxing. The breakfast here is excellent with a wide variety of options. Local specialties, international dishes, fresh fruits and pastries—all fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. We loved our morning meals with the sea view. What made our trip even better was the rich parent-child activities available. There were fun games, craft activities, and interactive sessions that kept our kid entertained all day. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay. Sanya Sunshine Hotel is definitely a top choice for family travel. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again!

The 270° family sea-view views are unreal—the ocean views from the room and balcony are absolutely stunning, we just never get tired of looking at them. The room is gorgeous, super clean and stylish, with all the family-friendly touches we needed. Our little one was in heaven with all the kids’ activities and play areas—endless fun for them! The service was top-tier too, the staff were so nice and helpful the whole time. 10/10 experience, made our family trip so special. We’ll definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back soon!

Our family trip to Sanya was made wonderful thanks to our stay at Grand Soluxe Hotel & Resort Sanya. From check-in to check-out, every part of the experience was smooth and enjoyable. The hotel has an excellent location, just a short walk away from the beach. We could easily go for a walk by the sea, enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset every day. The rooms are bright, clean and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and good sound insulation, so we had a great rest every night. All the staff were polite, warm and attentive. They greeted us warmly whenever we met, and helped us solve our problems patiently. The buffet breakfast was rich and delicious, with both Chinese and Western choices to meet different tastes. The public areas and swimming pool were clean and well-maintained. This hotel is absolutely ideal for family vacations and leisure trips. We had an unforgettable time and will definitely choose to stay here again when we come back to Sanya. Highly recommended to everyone traveling to Sanya!

“Disappointing”

This is not 5-star. 3 stars at best. We came out of season and were drawn by the pool with its slides, the gym and the proximity to the beach and the airport. Big mistake. This is not 5-star. 3 stars at best. We came out of season and were drawn by the pool with its slides, the gym and the proximity to the beach and the airport. Big mistake. The pool was not open until 2 pm every day and the slides were not operating. The gym has an old treadmill, a bike that doesn't work, and a few weight machines. All are rusty and need replacing. We arrived in the evening and there was no food to be had. The room talked of a non-existent mini bar and fridge - neither were in the room. There is a file that talks of the room service menu but there was no menu to be found. Phoning reception is not really an option if you are not a fluent Chinese speaker as most of the staff do not speak English and rely on translation apps when face-to-face. There is not much near the hotel and so you would need to take a taxi to get to a restaurant. Luckily I live in China so could order food to the hotel but eating in my room with a plastic fork was not exactly my idea of a holiday. Speaking of not much nearby, most attractions are a good hour or more away by taxi. There is a beach nearby but the wind tears down the beach whipping sand at you and the undercurrent is too strong to be safe for children to swim. Breakfast was good, the room was clean, most staff tried to be friendly but I wouldn't come back.
