I am just an Accor Gold member and had just booked a Classic room (urban view) this weekend using my Stay Plus. Check in was relatively smooth and quick and I was upgraded to a Superior Room 0618 (sea view) by Edith and her filipino colleague (sorry forgot to get your name!). Edith was service orientated and provided some tips on entertainment while showing me to the lift up. I was expecting an uneventful stay but it was anything but. First off, the room had a decent sea view from the 6th floor and the bedding and pillows were absolutely fantastic (probably one of the better beds I had in recent times, even better than Marriot) Just the right firmness and softness, decor was wonderful but not perfect as you could see small areas which were patched up due to a little wear and tear but otherwise, still beautiful. Toilet somehow did not come with a bidet (hand bidet or automatic), perhaps it was still being sorted out. Air conditioning was cold and even though it was set at 26degrees and low speed, the room was still a little cold but comfortable for sleeping. At approximately sometime past midnight on the first night, I was awoken by the smell of cigarettes wafting into the room. At first I thought I might have been dreaming but the smell got stronger and stronger to the point of being unbearable. I had to call the front desk to lodge a complaint since this was a non smoking hotel and the duty manager Carmela sent up her colleague Martin to check and verify that there was indeed a smoky smell coming from the ventilation system. Woke up my kid, threw all my things into my luggage bags and went down to reception in my sleeping attire. Carmela was very sympathetic to my experience and assured me she and her colleagues would investigate if anyone was smoking in the adjacent room toilets (which caused the smoke to circulate in the nearby rooms). She kindly arranged a new room for me at short notice and I was given 1250, which faced inside but came with a bathtub. No lounge access (which i wouldnt expect given the entry price I paid for my room). The new room allowed my kid and I to get our much needed rest for our stay and bedding was once again absolutely fantastic. This room came with a toilet with automatic bidet, a beautiful large bathtub which filled amazingly fast and a shower with side sprays. Thank you once again Carmela for your timely and generous service recovery which allowed us to get sufficient rest for our disneyland outing. We didnt get breakfast at the hotel as we went out to the nearby Tsui Wah and Bakehouse for breakfast and coffee. The welcome cocktails for Accor members was tasty. Check out was smooth and the concierge downstairs at B1 helped us call for a taxi large enough to take our luggages so we didnt need to call for an Uber. Overall, still a great experience and lovely hotel but I hope you manage to find the culprit who caused the smoke smell which wafted through the ventilation system at 0618.

“Hotel in Tung Chung”

Had stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was friendly and we were allowed early check-in. Their free airport shuttle was useful. Located in the same building as the Citygate Outlets and has a lot of food options and both bus and MTR stations are just a walk away. Had to change elevators twice to get to … lisää

Had stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was friendly and we were allowed early check-in. Their free airport shuttle was useful. Located in the same building as the Citygate Outlets and has a lot of food options and both bus and MTR stations are just a walk away. Had to change elevators twice to get to our room. But overall, with our room being clean and a comfortable bed, we had a pleasant stay here.

“Convenient, nice sunset suite”

Nights Stayed: 2 Room Type: Sunset Suite What we liked: - Room was as per photos, with good views - Hotel location was convenient as it was above a shopping mall - Great for Disneyland day trips too!

The good: * staff couldn't do enough to help you and so the service was absolute 5 star. So grateful to the entire team for making my short stay as good as it could be. Front desk, answering multiple emails, concierge and the bar - all brilliant and so incredibly helpful. The not so good: * I was pretty devastated to have paid additional for a sea view and not receive a sea view. The photos on the website are incredibly deceiving. I was looking out onto a bus terminal, freeways and a hill NOT a sea view as I paid for. I brought this to the attention of TWO staff who both refused to do anything about this. Please do not book a sea view as there isn't one. Looking at industry and a hill with a little bit of water, in no way constitutes a sea view. I should have been given a refund for the upgrade I paid for this room. *no one advised that I was sitting on top of a shopping mall which was minutes from the hotel down a lift. I have no idea why no one made me aware of this as an international traveler. *the in room dining menu was disappointing and limited *in room dining also disappointing as I ordered a tika masala veggie dish that was an Italian tomato dish - not what I ordered or paid for. Sadly this place is hit and miss. Excellent in some ways and no good in others. Would I stay again? Perhaps but I'd be looking at elsewhere first unless they fix up the problems I experienced this time around.
