“Only had lunch there but so worth it”

We stopped for lunch on our way to catch the train to Shanghai. We were seated in our own little dining area. Our guide ordered for us. There was an abundance of food, much of which we had already had in other places, with the exception of stuffed lotus root. Be sure to give that a try.

The room was spacious, clean and tidy although the air-conditioning did not work. We were moved to another room for the second night. The reception staff spoke little English but were very helpful. The restaurant was a buffet-style restaurant with a wide variety of local and international dishes, I particularly admired their brave stab at a bacon sandwich. A good, centrally located hotel at a very reasonable price

I was on a 3 days, fullo of things to do and very tiring "chinese only" Yangze cruise experience. Last day, we finished the tour at 3 and I had the airplain at midnight. I was worried honestly because i expected yichiang to be a difficult city instead I find it was nice and very new (they are rebuilding it) although in itself not very interesting for a turistical pint of view, and the Imperial court a very good hotel extremely clean and luxurios, fitting international standard, with a new dependance at the end of the court. And the shuttle for the airport picks you up just in front of the airport, so the cost of the taxi (that you save) is almost covering the cost of the accomodation

“Decent Enough for the Price.”

This is a semi-comfortable Chinese managed hotel that's probably on the downslope of its lifespan. This is a semi-comfortable Chinese managed hotel that's probably on the downslope of its lifespan. There's noticeable water damage throughout the property, the carpet is wearing, and none of the management gives any indication they're in a rush to fix it up. That noted, for the price - and I paid roughly US$50 - the bed is comfortable, the wifi is fast, and the breakfast was - shockingly - not bad. However, the a/c is a little gimpy and the room felt vaguely damp all night. Basically, this is what I'd expect from a run-down Red Roof Inn that charges $35 in the US. But you're in China, and this is what's on tap. One tip: the room rate is fully negotiable. For the full price, you're better off staying at something more up-scale.
