Very clean hotel room with fully equipped toiletries and clean towels. Excellent customer service from front desk to restaurant. Staff always have smile on their face. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on business trip or on holiday with families.

This hotel is within walking distance of Mount Ermei park but a distance away from the main shopping and gourmet center of the city. Hence, one needs to decide which is the priority as vehicular transport is definitely required if you intend to have more restaurant and shopping choices to spend the evening on. There are only a handful of Chinese restaurants around the area which obviously cater only to guests of the hotel and a myriad of other boutique hotels within the same area. We couldn't even find a cafe for a cup of coffee in the late afternoon. The hotel definitely has a resort feel and look to it. With lots of green, ponds and a river flowing behind, it generates a very nice and relaxed feeling. It is very well-maintained and clean. The room decor is very contemporary. There is a balcony that overlooks a garden and the river that flows behind. Mosquito netting is installed which allowed the glass sliding door to be left opened at night, allowing fresh and cool air to flow into the room while you sleep, supported by a comfortable bed. Front desk service is efficient, although it can do with a little bit more warmth. Breakfast is adequate, nothing to shout about, though. The spread is obviously catering to local palate.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute drive from the Emeishan train station. From the hotel, it’s a short uphill walk to the Emeishan tourist center where you get tickets and the bus up the mountain. There are other guesthouses and a dozen or so restaurants in the same area. All seem to serve similar food. Small shops sell drinks (including beer), snacks and instant noodles. There are separate soap/shampoo/conditioner bottles in the shower, perhaps responding to earlier complaints about the amenities. No fridge in the room. Large washing machines and dryers on the first floor. The small balcony is nice - the river view rooms, which cost a bit more, overlook a tranquil stream and wild green area, and an egret parked on the opposite bank. The breakfast was adequate - fried eggs, sausage, toast and cereal; Chinese dishes and fried rice, a soup noodle bar with four kinds of noodles.

We planned to visit the Emei Mountain and Jinding (Golden Top) during our stay in Sichuan. As Mt Emei is 130 km from Chengdu so we have to stay a night in Emei. We planned to visit the Emei Mountain and Jinding (Golden Top) during our stay in Sichuan. As Mt Emei is 130 km from Chengdu so we have to stay a night in Emei. The hotel locates close to the Tour Passenger Transport Centre where we took the bus up Mt Emei. The hotel is resort like with only 3 floors. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were arranged with a room with strong smell and they offered another room for us. Members of IHG were given a can of coke as complimentary welcome drink. In-room amenities were adequate and buffet breakfast allowed you to feed your stomach before hiking up the mountain (but do not expect too wide range of food). Good for its price and will recommend to friends who travel to Mt Emei.
