We are satisfied with our stayed at this hotel. The front desk staffs were extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is fine, and many variations up to the local food Shangri-La.

Perfect location in the city centre of Shangri la. Walking distance ( or bus stop just infront of the hotel) to Oldtown. Close to supermarket and shops and restaurants. Room wise, got upgraded to mountain deluxe room whic offers a lovely snowcapped mountain from the window. One of the senior staff ( forgot her name) speaks fluent English. Super helpful and kind. Breakfast is OK for HGI level. And you can taste the famous shangri la buttered tea for the first time here during breakfast. Personally, this property is perfect for base accommodation to explore the beauty of Xianggelila!! Will definitely come back for more nights.

We stayed at Hilton for two nights, the room is nice and quite big. We choosed Hilton also because we thought it would have been easier with the language. We stayed at Hilton for two nights, the room is nice and quite big. We choosed Hilton also because we thought it would have been easier with the language. So at the reception just one lady was able to speak in English, I ask at the concierge: Where is the toilet? The guy stared at me as I would have ask him the moon. WTF how is it possible??? Another bad experience has been the breakfast. First of all, 90% of the food was Chinese, and with all my respect I don't like to eat noodles in the morning. From Hilton I expect more choices of western food. The coffee machine was always run out of water, coffee and other problems.
