Good rooms very good staff but would be better if many spoke in English Breakfast buffet the flower garden and the shopping complex was good The only negative factor is we had a difficult time getting to the hotel as not many people in China know it’s English name so the taxi took us on a round about route The shuttle bus should be more often We had to wait for the shuttle for 2hrs at the airport and finally had to take a taxi and got cheated

“group trip to kunming”

Landed in Kunming 3rd Sep. late night and stayed at this hotel overnight and was out early morning. Room is nice and clean at the Lavender building, the breakfast was another thing. It was more of a Chinese breakfast with very little Western food. Knives, fork and spoons weren't available, I had to… lisää

Landed in Kunming 3rd Sep. late night and stayed at this hotel overnight and was out early morning. Room is nice and clean at the Lavender building, the breakfast was another thing. It was more of a Chinese breakfast with very little Western food. Knives, fork and spoons weren't available, I had to use chopsticks for my food and the bread was a disaster for me. Maybe I was too fussy. Came back to stay in the hotel on the last day of my tour on Sep. 9th, the breakfast is the same, I just had a coffee and skipped everything except the bananas. Adjacent to the hotel is the City of Flowers, my goodness it was beautiful and mesmerizing. If I come to Kunming again, I will definitely stay at this hotel just for the City of Flowers.

“Good KMG airport hotel”

They have a hotel shuttle down where all the shuttles are parked. Doesn't say Howard Johnson but looks like typical shuttle. We had TONS of luggage and it all fit inside. The HJ has a hotel restaurant onsite and there is a McDonald's and Chinese food court inside the complex. Across the street t… lisää

They have a hotel shuttle down where all the shuttles are parked. Doesn't say Howard Johnson but looks like typical shuttle. We had TONS of luggage and it all fit inside. The HJ has a hotel restaurant onsite and there is a McDonald's and Chinese food court inside the complex. Across the street there a couple convenience stores and some food stalls. The noodles in the food stalls were good. Its a bit far from city center but I got an electric bike from Beijing Lu to here for 40RMB and it was a fun ride.

This is an enormous hotel! But it was perfect for our needs. The free airport transfer was great and they even kept our big suitcases whilst we travelled around Yunnan. The buffet dinner for ¥65 was excellent and the included breakfast was ok. Our biggest issue was the air conditioning which does… lisää

This is an enormous hotel! But it was perfect for our needs. The free airport transfer was great and they even kept our big suitcases whilst we travelled around Yunnan. The buffet dinner for ¥65 was excellent and the included breakfast was ok. Our biggest issue was the air conditioning which does not work properly and involved several people coming to the room, but it never worked well. In the end they had to turn the heating on and set it 35 degrees for the room to get a little cooler. It makes no sense.
