“Impressed by Staff's Attitude”

Overall it's slightly above average, I would rate it. However, I was grossly impressed by a front desk staff, Miss Li Ya Ya, 李丫丫， her work attitude,kindness, helpfulness were of top notch. Keep it up Miss Li!👍 From Room 516 17-18/12/23

The room is great, there is free wifi and the hotel decorations are well done. The room feels a little small, especially when an extra bed is added to accommodate three. The shower feels a little dark, and lighting is an area I feel needs improvement. Service here is also extraordinary and the staf… lisää

“Okay for a short stay”

Beds were comfortable. Pillow a little too soft to my liking. Room was clean except for the toilet which was a little mouldy. A very short walk from the carpark of the hotel to the nearby night market. A pharmacy also located next to the hotel. However, the hotel is located near a rubbish collectio… lisää

A very short walk from the carpark of the hotel to the nearby night market. A pharmacy also located next to the hotel. However, the hotel is located near a rubbish collection area. Strong odors could be smelt along the corridors as well as its restaurant where we had our meals at level 7. Something to consider before you book your stay for a long trip.

“A stay at the Long Way”

Generally, it was a decent hotel. It delivered reasonably good rooms ( i had a single occupancy room) and nothing went horribly wrong. The showers worked. The wi-fi worked. The bed was not bad. Generally, it was a decent hotel. It delivered reasonably good rooms ( i had a single occupancy room) and nothing went horribly wrong. The showers worked. The wi-fi worked. The bed was not bad. Just that we had a tight itinerary and that did not allow me to enjoy the room more. So it mostly was functional. The eatery downstairs was alright and put out a decent spread that appealed much to Chinese appetites..so to those not accustomed to that kind of gastronomy, it was nothing to really shout about but this is a Chinese city that does not have the pedigree as the major ones, Long Way Grand Hotel ticked off all the boxes for me. Will give credit where credit is due. The staff had the right attitudes and delivered the necessary service required of them. A nice little detour from the hotel was the night market within walking distance. Although it was pissy rainy on the final night of our stay, we managed - with our umbrellas and coats - to visit. Verdict? It would have been a better and livelier market sans the rain. But it was business as usual for many vendors and it was just another working night in Kunming, undeterred by the inclement weather.
