“Value for money”

New Century Hotel is near the Sakura Park metro station. It is not near any attractions or bar/restaurant streets but it is a clean, well cared for hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Would be good for a business traveller.

The check-in and check-out was very quick, room was clean , bathroom not so good. The view from 19th floor was nice overlooking quite a big area of Ningbo. Decent breakfast , mainly Chinese cuisine, with some “western” called dishes. Only duty manager speaks fluent English , staff is very helpful. … lisää

Decent breakfast , mainly Chinese cuisine, with some “western” called dishes. Only duty manager speaks fluent English , staff is very helpful. Location was convenient for our business visit, there are some department stores 20-30 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall it was a pleasant stay and good value for money.

Stay here was comfortable as one of the old hotel in Ningbo and this can see from the interior in lobby and rooms. Rooms not so big but decent. Location is good as in center of town. “A Very Pleasnant Place to Stay”

What a very elegant place to stay, I would not usually stay in a hotel like this but because I was on vacation I thought that it would be nice to treat myself to a little bit of luxury. When you first walk into the hotel you are met with a visual extravaganza of post-modern /art deco interior and the reception desk is at a low level. Checking in was very easy with the reception staff speaking fairly reasonable English. My room was on the fifteenth floor. The room itself was very spacious and clean the bed was very comfortable. In the room there is a guest safe that you can program with your own code and also a mini bar with snack and soft drinks (I did not use this.) The facilities in the hotel are numerous and on the third floor (you have to take a separate elevator) there is a billiards room with two pool tables and a full sized snooker table, there is also a table tennis room, spa, foot spa and a swimming pool. I only made use of the pool and it was very warm and pleasing to swim in, but there were a few children in there with parents sitting around the pool side , so it's not really exclusive to the hotel. The lounge bar is a very comfortable place to relax for a short while serving snacks and drinks but watch out for the service charge. Getting out and about from the hotel is pretty easy and the staff are all very willing to help with directions and organizing a taxi to take you where you want to go, and a special mention to Serena who was very helpful in pointing out places of interest in the guide book. Overall it was a very nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Ningbo for a short stay.

“Chinese 4 star, Wester 3 star hotel”

An OK hotel overall, but not really a 4-star. Service is fine, but locals cut the line at the check-in and nobody seems to care. Rooms are mostly clean, spacious.
