This was our fourth visit and it feels just like returning home . Our flight was delayed and it was 11.30 pm when we arrived tired and hungry . Unlike other hotels who will just shrug and tell you the kitchen is closed Kristina was waiting to welcome us with a big smile and a specially prepared meal . This is just one of the examples of what makes the Achtis so special. Here you are not just an anonymous face , every single member of staff greets you daily with a happy smile and cheerful comments , nothing is too much trouble . This visit was slightly different to our others as it was our first time visiting peak season ( normally visit in May ) and first time on the new half board system . We had two mild concerns ahead of this . Would we be able to get a sun bed ? How would the quality of the food we were used to be maintained on a half board basis ? Honestly , we should know better !! Absolutely no issues with sun beds. We were able to find beds ( for five of us ) round the pool at anytime of the day . If you are not a pool person there are still plenty of beds dotted around the tranquil gardens in individual areas . Half board was superb !! Not just in the variety of meals provided but also in the quality of the produce . Every evening there was something for everyone . Delicious pork , lamb , beef or chicken . Fish , pasta dishes and tasty vegetarian options . It’s is the only place I have ever been where caviar was provided as part of the standard meal !! Lunchtime / snack menu is available up until 5pm to either eat around the pool or in the newly refurbished and extended bar area . Again all fresh produce beautifully cooked and presented . The new bar / sitting area has provided a lovely area to enjoy pre dinner drinks and lethal after dinner cocktails in the happy hour served up by the ever charming Vicky . I’ve read lots of reviews on different hotels over the years that praise staff , but often that praise can be a mitigating factor to make up for deficiencies in the accommodation . The Achtis is different . It is a truly superb boutique hotel providing excellent food with exceptional staff. On a final note a huge thank you to Lilia. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she truly made both ours and our family’s holiday with some very special gestures . See you all next year xx

This was our first time staying at Achtis, following a recommendation, and after reading reviews from previous travellers, we were hopeful that it would live up to expectations. It absolutely did! I would highly recommend Achtis to anyone looking for a truly special holiday experience. The staff at the hotel are incredibly welcoming and take the time to speak to each guest individually. They genuinely invest time in getting to know you and go above and beyond to cater to your every need. You can really feel how much pride the staff take in the hotel and how committed they are to ensuring that every guest has an incredible stay. The hotel has grown ever so slightly in recent years to accommodate the introduction of its new half board option, but this has not taken away from the wonderful sense of tranquillity. With still only a relatively small number of rooms, the atmosphere remains peaceful and intimate, making it a lovely place to escape and unwind. There is no morning rush to the sunbeds (which are very comfy) and plenty to go around all guests. As mentioned, the hotel has recently expanded its offering to include half board, and the evening meals were incredible. There was plenty of variety each evening, and the quality was nothing like your average all inclusive buffet that we have experienced previously (and enjoyed!). This is on another level. There is enough choice to suit all ages and tastes, and the food really is outstanding. We had originally planned to eat out for much of our holiday, but after experiencing the evening meals at Achtis, we quickly realised there was no need to. The food was simply too good! The staff were also incredibly accommodating when it came to our daughter’s meals. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they never hesitated to prepare something specially for her if there was something she particularly wanted. It was such a lovely personal touch and really made us feel that every member of our family was genuinely cared for. The hotel is a very short walk to the lovely town of Afytos and we often went in the evening for a few drinks and evening ice creams, it has lovely atmosphere both during the day in the evening with plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants. The hill to and from the town is nothing much to write about and I’ll leave that there. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Achtis and would not hesitate to return. It is a beautiful, peaceful hotel with exceptional staff, fantastic food, and a genuinely personal feel. We would highly recommend it and cannot wait to visit again.

This is our 3rd trip to this uniquely beautiful family run hotel, every year gets better and better. The overall ambiance is relaxed and very friendly. The rooms we have experienced are always consistently excellent, well appointed with very comfy beds. Poolside has thoughtful and varied seating both in full sun and shade if preferred, we opt for the garden side which is quieter. The restaurant and bar are excellent, the al a cart menu has been replaced this year by a buffet style but has maintained its freshly made food with great variety and excellent standard. The service is always 10/10, with a great staff, cleaners and gardeners. We hope to return many more times

We have just had the most amazing 11 nights at Achtis with our 5 and 4 year old. We have just had the most amazing 11 nights at Achtis with our 5 and 4 year old. It’s hard to describe the wonderful atmosphere fostered at this hotel; it’s like setting foot into the most welcoming Greek home. The rooms are all individual, the pool area is beautiful and the restaurant/bar very stylish. The staff however are the real stars of the show. They refer to you by name for your entire stay, always on hand to provide help and advice and make your holiday the best it can be. They always made so much effort with our children which we really appreciated. Achtis is a very short walk to a beautiful village and close to lots of beaches/restaurants. We made use of the hotels car rental which was extremely good value and far far easier than renting at the airport. The airport transfer also offers excellent value and was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner offering was superb. Had a real authentic, home cooked feel to it with a variety of options for adults and children. Overall I couldn’t recommend Achtis more highly. I understand they have a lot of repeat customers and we will certainly be joining them!
