“A gorgeous short break in Athens”

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of December and would definitely return. The hotel was immaculately clean, had excellent facilities and a really lovely vibe. The staff were all lovely the breakfast was also superb. Thank you to all at The Modernist for a wonderful stay ❤️

Having stayed for 4 nights in The Modernist Thessaloniki and given a 5 star review, it would be remiss of me not to also now award a 5 star rating to The Modernist Athens where we stayed for 3 nights prior to travelling to Thessaloniki. The hotel is situated very close to the Metro line in a very nice area of Athens. The standout feature of our stay was the attentiveness of all the staff in particular the reception team. A special mention must go to Ionna and Bianca in this regard. Being able to have breakfast up to 10.30am was a real plus and the rooftop terrace with its stunning views was another highlight. I highly recommend this boutique hotel along with its sister hotel in Thessaloniki - both are equally deserving of high praise.

“A Cool P’ace to Be”

Very nice room with views of Athens, fab staff, great breakfast buffet. Also the hotel had Perfect night views of the Acropolis from the roof terrace. The Modernist was in a walkable neighborhood with traditional tavernas with minimal tourists

“A good option in Athens”

Good: The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff were really nice! Breakfast was great. Not a huge variety, but the food was very tasty, nicely served, and the staff was great. Rooftop with a great view of the Acropolis Bad: Location - it is not in the center, but it is just near public transportation and have many nice places to eat and enjoy at night. Room - we had a very tiny room with a window facing a wall. Since we spend only one night, it did not bother us, but make sure you have a balcony in the room (these rooms look much better) Overall, a very good option, unless the small room, with no window, I would give it 5 (assuming you are good with not being in the center)
