The property is located in a majestic setting right by a beach that for the most part is so quiet, all you can hear are the waves and the birds. We were lucky to have a room with a full sea view and as our main purpose was to rest, we spent most of our time either on our balcony or at the beach. The property has been recently renovated and our room was modern and very clean with all expected amenities. Above all though, what you will definitely be in this property is well looked after. Nothing is too much to ask for that team and they're always happy to assist with a smile. Unfortunately for me, our holiday had to be cut short when I fell ill and had to be hospitaised however, the way the whole team pulled together, from the GM to the Housekeeping team and the Front Desk managed by the wonderful Lila, in order to ensure emergency services were quickly there to help was astonishing. Furthermore, they ensured my wife had everything she requested during a very stressfull period and then also made the whole check out procedure so easy for her, even ensuring that anything left behind during our panic exit from the property was safely retrieved and posted to our home. Throughout all this, it would be a miss not to mentioned the services offered to us by a wonderful local taxi driver called Manolis whom the GM himself called to assist us. This is the kind of experience that puts a negative spin in a holiday but you all ensured that despite this, we left Kythira with the best of memories and having met some fantastic human beings. Thank you very much for the hospitality and for all your help. Will definitely return and would defintely recommend Anesis and Kythira to anyone. Just one thing to remember, you will definitely need a car to move around as the island has no public transport.

The hotel was perfect for us! The staff was so very friendly and they told us everything about the island: where to go and where to eat ... We have been there as a family for 1 week and we felt totally welcome. The breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is just perfect: directly at the beautiful beach and you can sleep by the sound of the waves! Within a few minutes walking distance you are in the center of the village with many restaurants. Thank you once again for this marvellous holiday :-) Hope to see you again!

“An absolute gem of a hotel”

What a lovely hotel. Lovely location, extremely friendly and attentive staff . The breakfasts were lovely. The hotel was beautifully clean, the beds comfy and there was even a kettle in the room. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay

Anesis Beach Hotel is a rare gem for more reasons than one. Located a few steps away from the beach, it offers you the opportunity to swim in crystal clear waters soon after you wake up. All you have to do is put on your swimming costume, cross the road and dive. This is a unique and invigorating experience. The beach right in front of the hotel is not organized, no sunbeds or umbrellas but you will find a shower and changing cabin for free. The beach consists of sand and pebble and is rather deep – not recommended for families with young children. However, about a kilometre away – a 10-minute walk from the hotel – you will find an organized sandy beach with shallow waters up to 30 metres. Two sunbeds, an umbrella and two small bottles of cold water cost €10. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Nicoleta who went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. We booked a sea view room which was spacious and comfortable offering all modern facilities a 4-star hotel can offer plus a cute balcony overlooking the sea. Cleanliness in our room was impeccable! We would like to thank our maid but also Nicoleta from the bottom of our hearts for her great smile, her hospitality and the useful tips she gave us for places to visit in Kythera. Nicoleta is the heart and soul of Anesis Beach Hotel. The restaurant at the hotel only offers breakfast which consists of white and brown bread, toast, Greek pies, butter and jam, cheeses, ham, eggs, cereals, croissants, yogurt and peaches in syrup to mention only a few. For lunch and dinner, you will find a variety of restaurants and taverns as well as cafés and bars at Agia Pelagia – a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We would also like to thank the owner of this hotel who did a great job! My husband and I would like to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kythera. It’s a real gem!
