The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, and every detail was handled with care and professionalism. We’ve stayed in many places, but this hotel truly stands out. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be coming back!

“Amazing Aegean location”

There are so many positives about Ammon Zeus… the Aegean and sea view is everything, with the lapping of waves 24/7 and crystal-clear waters to swim in. Expect a warm welcome and really lovely staff. There are so many positives about Ammon Zeus… the Aegean and sea view is everything, with the lapping of waves 24/7 and crystal-clear waters to swim in. Expect a warm welcome and really lovely staff. If I’m honest, it wasn’t quite the 5-star experience I expected. Marketing photos are probably from the refurbishment a few years ago and furnishings are now looking a little tired. Beds were really comfortable though, however towels and robes were thin and the worse for wear. Little things like this make all the difference when you’re pitching yourself as 5-star. Book at the right price (we had a BA deal) and you’ll be delighted with this slice of paradise in Halkidiki. PS would have been great if Greco’s restaurant was open in the evenings as an option to the evening buffet.

“Very disappointing 😞”

Very disappointing. No way is this a 5 * we have stayed in less * and this was disappointing, certainly no wow factor. Having said this, when we checked in, we had been upgraded to a sea view room. Very disappointing. No way is this a 5 * we have stayed in less * and this was disappointing, certainly no wow factor. Having said this, when we checked in, we had been upgraded to a sea view room. Staff were all absolutely brilliant, so I couldn't fault that. Food was delicious but only ever warm, and I love my food to be hot. Sun beds were plentiful and set out on the beach but when the sun moved behind the hotel the whole of the Beach area and chairs around the hotel were in the shade, probably because of the time of year. It was then difficult to find a sun bed around the pool as there weren't many. Hotel pool bar was closed without explanation for a couple of days but on enquiry with reception we were told it was because of the weather so on days when the sun didn't shine we had to sit in the hotel and use the main bar. Entertainment was OK, but the guitar player was absolutely brilliant, and we had a great night. The luggage room on the last day was non-existent. We were told to leave our cases in reception and they would be moved by the staff. However, when we returned, we found our cases in the main dining room. Sorry to say, but this hotel has been awarded too many stars.

Lovely hotel on the beachfront. Nice spacious, clean room with roomy balcony. We upgraded to a premium room and had a Nespresso machine which was a lifesaver. Lovely hotel on the beachfront. Nice spacious, clean room with roomy balcony. We upgraded to a premium room and had a Nespresso machine which was a lifesaver. The food in the main buffet restaurant was plentiful and tasty. Something to suit everyone. Absolutely loved the fresh baked bread and yummy little desserts after dinner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Really liked the pool area when the weather permitted and the sunbeds are the comfiest I've found in any hotel. 5* Hotel! Got no complaints about the hotel itself apart from it is at the bottom of a very very steep hill and some people with mobility issues would find it difficult to walk to the main area in Kalithea. As we visited in October the weather was a bit hit and miss - bright and a bit chilly somedays, a little bit of rain and sunny and warm for a couple of days. Also its worth noting that the restaurants, bars and shops in the main area have mostly closed down in October so very quiet and not much to do.
