My wife and I last stayed at Captains seven years ago in room 3 which was quiet small. This year we stayed for a month in room 5 a large twin bedded room with a balcony facing the beach as apposed to the old harbour. After three weeks we both got a bit restless, running out of new places to visit in the hired car, and finding different local restaurants to go to. The repetitive music coming from the Island Beach Bar just across the road didn't help either . If it wasn't for the interesting goings on traffic wise (there is nothing that resembles our highway code in Limenas) and of course people watching from our balcony I think we would have been climbing the walls. As far as I could see there have been no changes made to the property since 2016. The only real glitch is the wash room, its very small 6ftx4tf with a 2ft square shower tray a vanity unit with wash basin and a loo with no forced ventilation or opening window. As far as the kitchen is concerned there is just about enough worktop area to make a cup of tea. Actually you could boil an egg but you'd have no where to put it. If you're looking for an interesting location surrounded by several good eating places easy to walk to and stagger back from then you could do a lot worse than Captains Beach Boutique Apartments.

Just got back from a short family trip. We had a triple room, with a great sea view. The furniture is basic, not a generous room, but il will do, comfy beds and all the things you could use in a basic-small kichinette. Wifi not so great.The bathroom is horrible, claustrophobic and smelly. But the location,the proximity of the beach, restaurants, bars, shops could make up for the lack of comfort of the bathroom or the lack of lots of space in the room. Great communication with the owner, friendly and helpfull, and also a very fair balance between the price and the conditions.i would come back and i recomand this place, it has a nice vibe

“It'll do for us”

RM 3 is small, smart décor, good view from balcony that has sun brolly, apartment is cleaned and towels changed every other day, there's a safe, A/C unit, hairdryer, fridge with freezer but no ice tray, we used plastic egg cartons, two ring electric cooker with extractor, very few cooking utensils, minimum cutlery and crockery, you'll find a shared toaster, microwave, iron etc in reception area and a washing machine in corridor, there's a phone, large comfortable bed, TV but no UK channels, no DVD player, bathroom has shower, wash basin, loo but no bath, no window and no fan assisted ventilation, not good when you can't flush paper down the toilet, take an adaptor plug for the basin waste and a large one to fit a sink disposal outlet, there's no fire escape just an extinguisher in corridor, its not the quietest of apartment due to thin walls and its location, easy walking distance to nearby supermarket, tavernas, shops and there's a nice sandy beach just across the road. Very helpful manager, worth his weight in gold, If you're going early or late in the season take rain wear and something warm for mornings and evenings, power plug adaptors are round two pin, didn't need insect repellant. We will book again next year but hopefully Rm 5 which is much larger with two beds.

The location is perfect - between the Old port and the beach, and I'm sure it's totally full during the summer, even if it's a bit old and not so well maintained. The location is perfect - between the Old port and the beach, and I'm sure it's totally full during the summer, even if it's a bit old and not so well maintained. Rooms have a nice view over the sea and good terrace. The size of the room is average, but you have an extra kitchen box inside, which is not SO necessary in the heart of the Limenas restaurants. The bathroom is very small and very old, really not comfortable and usable. It needs refurbishment. Anyway, for the winter it's OK, because it's the only open hotel in Limenas, also has very good heating and WiFi, and for that price (25EUR per night) you just cannot ask for more. Though in summer I imagine it's very noisy because the beach bars and tavernas are just in front of the hotel.
