“The host was actually friendly!”

Despite having read a lot of negative reviews (on another site) of the host, I still took the plunge and gave this place a try. He might be considered taciturn but definitely not rude. Despite having read a lot of negative reviews (on another site) of the host, I still took the plunge and gave this place a try. He might be considered taciturn but definitely not rude. In fact, he had a sense of humour! As for the homestay, it was homey enough although a little run down. The air-con of our room was definitely not cold enough but we didn't complain. I guess just some routine maintenance would bring it back to life. I certainly liked the quiet location and his outside only cats. Unlike in Lanyu, the "night observation" was led by the host himself enthusiastically free of charge! Notice that free wifi was available on ground floor only. Perhaps the 2nd floor could get it but not on the 3rd that I stayed.

This B&B is situated in the old town of Green island, a quiet residential area which is away from noisy main street, there are old traditional stone house nearby, a nice local experience on the way home when I pass by. The hosts are nice, friendly, lend us their washing machine, and took us for a night tour which we spot the deers, frogs, birds, spiders and variety of wild animals on the island, in the day, an one hour snorkelling tour was included, and we had fun with the host. This B&B is tidy, clean, with 30 bucks a night fare, my friend and I find it good value for money.
