The Madrid Edition is a wonderful hotel conveniently located in central Madrid. The Madrid Edition is a wonderful hotel conveniently located in central Madrid. It is walking distance to many attractions including the Royal Palace, Plaza de Mayo, Gran Via and other shopping areas. It is an easy but slightly longer walk to sites like Retiro Park and the Prado. The hotel is modern, with minimalist but stunning designed rooms and spaces. What set the hotel apart was the high standard of service. Small touches really stood out - for example I mentioned to one of the concierge team, Pedro, that I was visiting his home town of Cordoba. When I returned to my room the next day I found a hand written note from him with restaurant recommendations and sites to visit in Cordoba. His choice of restaurants proved to be excellent. Or for example, leaving a glasses cleaning cloth under your glasses case in the room. I had an electrical fault in my initial room which required me to move rooms - they assisted this process and upgraded me to a fabulous suite as a consolation and were exceptionally apologetic about the inconvenience (which proved to be none at all!). I really enjoyed my stay and would happily visit again. I would recommend paying a little more for rooms with external facing windows.

Central tourist location and breathtaking rooms and lobby with wonderful restaurant onsite. This is a special occasion Marriott that has a super lobby bar and amazing front desk service team. Also, if you have Marriott status, you can use the private bar for drinks and snacks while waiting for your room. Very easy access to the Opera and trains as well as plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Located on busy pedestrian area and very festive for the holidays.
