“Had what you needed”

Nothing extraordinary by all means but when you travel through then this lodge is great despite sitting on top of a gravel road. Beds are fine food ok, breakfast just ok. But remember this was for one night only and if I should have stayed for longer then I might have a different view.

“Great views”

Stayed for 1 night. We had two rooms on Kinabalu wing. Rooms were spacious bathrooms clean just need a bit of a paint and spruce up. The view in the morning was amazing and the food and staff were great. The driveway is a bit imposing also the road getting there if it’s wet but our small little car… lisää

“Worth the stay with full view of Mt Kinabalu.”

We are awed by the Mt K view from our Kinabalu Wing room. We arrived about 7 pm and the road was pretty scary as its dark, hilly, winding, bumpy and covered with fog and mist . This hotel is quite deep in the a small village . With the view that is promising we are willing to go through the adventu… lisää

We are awed by the Mt K view from our Kinabalu Wing room. We arrived about 7 pm and the road was pretty scary as its dark, hilly, winding, bumpy and covered with fog and mist . This hotel is quite deep in the a small village . With the view that is promising we are willing to go through the adventure. The room price was very reasonable and come with a decent breakfast. The interior are quite shabby, the bed and mattress not so comfortable, toilet well properly maintained and bugs coming in sometimes . Equipped with hot water heater. All these are negotiated with the awesome view of the majestic Mt Kinabalu . We are lucky on the first dawn to view sunrise at backdrop of the mountain. Surreal and contented with our choice .

“Large rooms, some with great views”

Lovely views from view rooms. All rooms very spacious. Helpful staff with 24 hour desk. Bit of a wLk to some rooms, up hill. Food in restaurant average so best to eat in town, or bottom of hill for western. Road up unsealed, steep and bumpy so better with 4x4.

“Choose Kinabalu Wing”

Ceyln resort is certainly a great place to stay. The front office hospitality is excellent. The breezing cold wind is superb. It is also pretty close to Kundasang town and a few tourists attractions. However, be sure to choose Kinabalu Wing as your first priority and Valley Wing as your second prio… lisää

Ceyln resort is certainly a great place to stay. The front office hospitality is excellent. The breezing cold wind is superb. It is also pretty close to Kundasang town and a few tourists attractions. However, be sure to choose Kinabalu Wing as your first priority and Valley Wing as your second priority in selecting your rooms. We stayed in Jungle Mountain type of accommodation and it was definitely not a good choice. We did not enjoy our stay in this room. The access to the resort from the main road can be a nightmare if you are travelling in a sedan car. The road condition is extremely bad and only a four wheeler can get through it easily. The breakfast was just average.
