I stayed at the Perkasa Hotel in Kundasung for one night as part of a Tripadeal tour. I am writing this review as the previous reviews don’t adequately reflect the experience that I had. I stayed in a recently refurbished room which was very nice, with modern furnishings and lovely hotel public areas. The views from our room of Mt Kinabalu were absolutely spectacular and it was great to watch the cloud formations move as the sun set. We had a buffet dinner in the large function room and breakfast the following morning in the coffee shop area. There was more than adequate selection of food to choose from at both meals. The hotel does not serve alcohol, however a small cafe across the carpark served coffee and a small selection of alcoholic beverages. We were very fortunate to see a large wedding early on the Sunday morning, a treat for Aussie tourists to see. The hotel was great.

“Fabulous mountain view”

Spent one night here. Rooms have been very nicely refurbished. Shower pressure is great with hot water. We did find along with most of our fellow travellers however that the beds and pillows were way to hard for most of us. The view of the mountain made up for it.

Stayed a night at this hotel during our Kundasang trip. About 2 hours 15 min drive from KK town depending on traffic. Stayed a night at this hotel during our Kundasang trip. About 2 hours 15 min drive from KK town depending on traffic. Hotel is strategically located on higher ground with fantastic view of Mt Kinabalu, kundasang town and surrounding areas. We booked a suite room on the 6th floor with fantastic views. Spacious, clean and with comfortable bed. There were 2 cafes, one at the garden opp the lobby and one beside the lobby. Breakfast available at Rm30 per pax at a banquet hall. Food was decent and fairly priced. Staff generally friendly. The view and the cooling weather were the highlights.

“nice location, rest poor”

The location of this hotel is excellent for views but everything else disappoints. The rooms are clean with basic amenities. There is no air conditioning so you need to keep the windows open which can get noisy. The hotel has different wifi for rooms, lobby and the conference rooms. You need to log… lisää

The location of this hotel is excellent for views but everything else disappoints. The rooms are clean with basic amenities. There is no air conditioning so you need to keep the windows open which can get noisy. The hotel has different wifi for rooms, lobby and the conference rooms. You need to log in each separately. Restaurant breakfast is very basic and staff seem overwhelmed. Dinner service slow and inattentive. Our group was brought veg that had not been washed properly and had bugs in them. The hotel plays loud music in public areas/corridors very early in the morning. Walls are thin and you can hear people snore in rooms next to you. Hotel staff seem uninformed - especially given its a touristy area. Could not suggest any walking or hiking nearby.
