“Very nice building with amazing view”

We stayed there for one night with our 1 year old daughter and got upgraded to a bigger room as there were not many guests there at that time. The building itself looks quite new. We stayed there for one night with our 1 year old daughter and got upgraded to a bigger room as there were not many guests there at that time. The building itself looks quite new. The room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Parking was around the corner near the pharmacy for a small fee. On arrival you should go up to the rooftop terrace and enjoy the amazing view over the city. The city center of Rabat is easily reachable by tram, to the tram station it's about 15 min walking. After 3 or 4 stops with either one of the two lines you are at Hassan Tower. In short: We would stay there again.

“Slightly out of town but worth it.”

This clean and pleasant Riad is actually in Sale across the river from Rabat. It's just inside the Sale Medina. Taxi driver found it easily enough. Just be careful and haggle with the taxi driver or ask for him to use the metre (le compteur). Shouldn't cost more than 20 to 30 dirham. Staff at the R… lisää

This clean and pleasant Riad is actually in Sale across the river from Rabat. It's just inside the Sale Medina. Taxi driver found it easily enough. Just be careful and haggle with the taxi driver or ask for him to use the metre (le compteur). Shouldn't cost more than 20 to 30 dirham. Staff at the Riad were very friendly and between our very limited French and their English communication was easy. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and spacious. Shower facilities were more than adequate. It's an easy short walk and tram ride (6 Durham) to the Medina of Rabat or walk down to the river and get a boat ride (2 minutes) across to the other bank for 2 dirham. Breakfasts were fresh and excellent despite being Ramadan.

“Authentic Riad ”

I stayed at the Marco Andaluz Riad for 5 nights earlier this month. The Riad is beautiful and authentically restored and my stay was comfortable but I found it lacking in some respects. I stayed at the Marco Andaluz Riad for 5 nights earlier this month. The Riad is beautiful and authentically restored and my stay was comfortable but I found it lacking in some respects. It was difficult to find but once there it was within easy reach of the tram stop and also within walking walking distance of the Sale train station. The area around the Riad was great for exploring and lots of local shops nearby. Breakfast was provided but it was basic and the same daily. Staff were really friendly but sometimes there was a language barrier. The room was spacious but lacked a fridge and no t.v. in fact I did not see a t.v. anywhere in the Riad. There was no water which was not okay. I slept well and there was functioning air con in the room. Travelling to Rabat was easily accessible via the tram or you could even walk there in about 35mins. There was no tourist information at the hotel and although my stay was comfortable, the Riad was clean, I don't think I will stay here again. I did not find it value for money.

The hotel itself is quite nice: a beautiful restored house with patios and a swimming pool in the rooftop. The hotel itself is quite nice: a beautiful restored house with patios and a swimming pool in the rooftop. The rooms are comfortable, air conditioned and clean, so from that point of view nothing to complain. However, to be fair it is quite apart from the things to see in Rabat. It is actually in Salé, which is just the opposite part of the city accross the river, and to get to Rabat you need to take either a taxi (which costs 100 dirhams in a grand taxi, no option of taking the petit taxi), a boat, the tram or walk (around 35-40 minutes). You need to take into account that Salé has nothing interesting to sightsee and not a single proper restaurant, just fast food options available over there. We were also a little disappointed that there was no one around in the hotel to help you if you needed something. For instance, when checking out, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes to pay the bill... If we were to go to Rabat again I would not choose this hotel. It has its charm, but I would rather go somewhere a little closer to the city centre.
