Heaven is not only about the place but of course its dwellers can make the difference! Andy, Pris & her mum, the 2 cotton balls, the trees & flowers, the lizards, the tortoise & the birds made my stay in the chalet so divine! Not forget to mention about how gifted the ones who created this mini paradise are amazing souls! Unbelievable, I have traveled to 97destinations in the world & yet I found those impressively incredible beings in my home country! You have to go to experience it, I am out of words to describe how I feel when I think of this place. Style : Peacefully so Balinese Chalet : Gracefully designed in an antique way Bed : 7 star bed, I was literally on a cloud & wrapped in a cocoon Garden : Paradise!!! Surrounding : Stop reading, Go & explore, the choice is 365° be it by foot or car! Caution : High mosquito alert, you need to bring insect repellent well you in middle of a forest what do you expect! “Ordinary escape into the nature”

It is one of the best places we have stayed. From beginning of our getaway till the end, we were so spoilt that we miss this beautiful place already. We felt not only as a guest but also as friends since we were very comfortable. We would like to thanks Mr. Andrew and his wife Pris for their wonderful service and they are the sweetest,friendly, person we met so far.We felt so special and felt at home, our chalet was surrounded by lush nature and a cosy terrace along with a chimney. Friendliest dogs 🐶 ever ! We had the best dinner so far prepared by Mrs.Priss The chalet was lovely,super clean with most comfortable bed we have ever slept on ! And yes now we do believe "disconnect to reconnect" We will definitely be back again and will recommend this stunning,breathtaking,incredible & extraordinary place 🥂 One word is not enough to explain how well we spent our escapade. 💫 From Jeshna & Shakeel 🥂

“The perfect family place to spend few days at Chamarel”

We were welcome and spoilt by the friendly owners Priscilla and Andrew themselves throughout our 4 nights stay there (we could have easily stayed another 3 nights!) . We completely felt at home in that very seclusive and beautiful place surrounded by nature, down in the valley. Once you leave the main road, after 1km on an easy access road, you arrive to this little paradise. There you can enjoy your spacious chalet with private veranda and private wood chimney, and from there you can trek the area easily. Priscilla herself cooks for you amazing home food, breakfast is a feast. at last but not the least, the bed and linen were far better than what we have at home! will definitely go back there soon.

The place is absolutely (!) stunning (see also all the positive points listed below. However a few reasons why we would recommend a shorter stay at les Jardins de Chamarel: 1) The road to the location (however: no pain no gain!) 2) There are no restaurants open in that area for dinner, due to the difficult roads in that area. 3) Due to point 1 and 2 you will eat most likely all evenings at Les Jardins, where the food is really great (try the Byriani!), but consider the whole place is run by a few people, hence there is not too much choice. Therefore you might want to spend here a couple of days only and not your complete holiday. 4) The breakfast is of excellent quality, but is every day the same (see also point 3) 5) No swimming pool yet (but do not fear: they are working on it) 6) Some construction work as there might be extra rooms added (but the owners ensure that this is not too disturbing) We do recommend to stay here because: - The place is really very beautiful in one of the last places where there is still some nature in Mauritius - Owners are very friendly - Food is of excellent quality (owners have their own farm) - Nice rooms with private terrace to relax - Perfect location to start your sightseeing tours in that area (and you can even walk from there to the Chamarel waterfall!)
