“Stayed many times”

It is a very clean place with excellent rooms. The food and ambiance are wonderful. I have stayed there many times, they are in the process of building a gas station there, which will be helpful as they are the only decent place within a 100 miles.

Rooms are comfortable and beautifully clean. The pool is small, but inviting. I was here with a group and the hotel could not have been more welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully clean. The pool is small, but inviting. I was here with a group and the hotel could not have been more welcoming. An early morning walk to the oasis, complete with rare blue fan palms was a real treat. We also hiked up to the painted cave jut to the north. The food was excellent - the green salsa on my breakfast eggs was the best I've ever eaten. Wifi is spotty and pricy - it's satellite only in this area and there's no cell signal south of El Rosario until you get to Guererro Negro. The road is difficult, best not to try it at night and fill your gas tank at El Rosario or Guererro Negro. The Pemex station here is long closed and the only option is buying gas from jerry cans and quite expensive. Best to have a reservation during whale watching season, the hotel was full the night we stayed there.

“Nice Place”

I've stayed at the Desert Inn many times in Catavina, and have always had a very nice experience there. The rooms are clean and large, and there is a TV as well. In the old days there was no phone or internet service so even a TV was welcome. The restaurant is great...for all meals. The grounds are… lisää

I've stayed at the Desert Inn many times in Catavina, and have always had a very nice experience there. The rooms are clean and large, and there is a TV as well. In the old days there was no phone or internet service so even a TV was welcome. The restaurant is great...for all meals. The grounds are so interesting with whimsical gardens and touches all over. A fun place to stop along the way when traveling the Baja.

““ Enchanted Cacti (Cactus) forest””

This place is Middle of nowhere, in a magical Cacti garden. No gas except people selling out of a barrel. Closest decent place to stay is Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario 122 Km to the north and Guerrero Negro 239 km to the south on Mex 1. This place is Middle of nowhere, in a magical Cacti garden. No gas except people selling out of a barrel. Closest decent place to stay is Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario 122 Km to the north and Guerrero Negro 239 km to the south on Mex 1. We opted to stay here after driving from Ensenada on our way to Guerrero Negro. This place needs no introductions, rooms were very clean and ample space, decor inside were really captivating, outside pool area will be very useful during long summer months, there was a Pool table in side the Bar , also inside, restaurant and a small gift shop + snacks. Surprisingly front desk people spoke no English as this is considered a Landmark Hotel. Wi-fi was 30 pesos/hr. There is a Grocery store just in front of the Hotel and a super friendly Cantina just few hundred feet up on the road. We ate all our meals there and food was very tasty, wi-fi costs 10 pesos/hr, and they spoke some English . Dawn sets this place from a scenery of another planet, I walked their well laid fenced garden. On our way back too we opted to stay here . They do have a Sister Hotel in San Quintin by the Sea . I was there on my way back and sure to go back. I do not think you need a reservation as there are plenty of rooms here. I don’t think anybody can complain about this place as there is nothing like it, so unique and very captivating, and secured place for a family.
