This small hotel is a stone's throw from the beautiful Capilla del Calvario on a steep hillside in the center of the small town of Metepec. The lovely old building has been renovated and updated, and is operated in an environmentally conscious way. The town square is outside its doors, with an elegant fountain and memorial, and the municipal park extending around and above the Capella on the hill should be visited. In the other direction you can find the lovely old Franciscan church and monastery, which can be visited and offers displays of contemporary art to visitors. There is an extensive fruit and vegetable market nearby, on Mondays. The hotel rooms are comfortable and the staff are efficient and friendly. The breakfasts are delicious!

A little hotel in the centre of Metepec (considered as a magical town of Mexico). Just in front of the old cathedral and surrounded by a large variety of restaurants and cafes. A little hotel in the centre of Metepec (considered as a magical town of Mexico). Just in front of the old cathedral and surrounded by a large variety of restaurants and cafes. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. You will love the nice gardens and the breakfast which was included. The Wi-Fi connection works very well. The personnel was very nice and helpful. I would definetely come back to this nice hotel.

The fact that this hotel is in a town with rich history and artistic talent is great. However, assuming you have a choice, I would suggest you stay at another one of the local hotels. This hotel has several negatives, which for me, made it difficult to stay comfortably. The first issue was the room I stayed in smelled old and musty, most likely due to the fact that the room has very poor ventilation. The room seemed less than clean, and the bedding I am sure was not properly changed and cleaned regularly. I found someone's toenail clipping stuck to the bedding. The hotel is also quite noisy even at night. All three nights I stayed here, I could hear people talking in the lobby and hallways, even at 3 am. I am not sure why the staff did not ask people to be quieter. On the plus side. The staff were very nice and professional. The breakfast was also nice. The two mornings that I did have breakfast, the food was made fresh and to my order. The staff also made arrangements for my laundry to be picked up cleaned and delivered back in less than 24 hrs. I did pay 350 pesos for this service, which is quite expensive, but I had no other alternatives. The hotel is also close to many nice places to eat.

I've been traveling around the world for a little over ten years now and this is truly an abysmal hotel. We showed up an hour early and he asked for 300 MX$ extra to check in early, which is ludicrous in this area. I've been traveling around the world for a little over ten years now and this is truly an abysmal hotel. We showed up an hour early and he asked for 300 MX$ extra to check in early, which is ludicrous in this area. More importantly, I make nearly $200 USD per hour and the twit at the front desk would not even call us back when we told him that the WiFi did not work in the *"Master Suite."* So, we paid more for much less services. I'm an Expedia Gold Member, Booking Genius (means little), and a TripAdvisor with over 10 million readers. I recommend that you avoid this hotel as it is run by a complete amateur.
