“Lovely property - historic center”

The Hotel Emily exceeded our expectations. We were on a 1 week roadtrip and this was the highlight of our week. Excellent location, comfortable beds, good wifi and secure parking. The buffet breakfast included was abundant and delicious.

This is a charming hotel right on the central plaza in Pachuca where the clock tower (El Reloj de Pachuca) is located. The area is vibrant with restaurants, shops and people going about their everyday business. The hotel is colonial in décor but has every modern convenience you need. I recently stayed in two different rooms at Hotel Emily. The room on the “A” side of the building faced the plaza and the view of the Reloj could not have been better. This room was perfect! The room on the “B” side of the hotel had a little patio (I was on the first floor – rooms on the upper floors do not have this) which was nice but not very useful to me. However, the hallway on the B room (room 109) is open to the atrium and the lobby and restaurant are only a half a flight below, so the noise was a bit of an issue. The second night in this room I turned on the fan that was provided and it seemed to improve the situation. In both rooms the beds were extremely comfortable. They provide a coffee maker but only give you coffee for one morning. If you want any more after that, it is available for a charge. Also, and this is really nitpicking, in the bathroom there is no space provided to keep your toiletries, so you either have to keep them in the bedroom or have them clutter up the surface of the sink. A little shelf would have been nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Also, the hotel had free wifi, which was really nice! Overall, I would say that, given the location and the price, this hotel is an excellent choice for anyone staying in Pachuca!

“Good location in old center”

Staff tried to be very friendly, but there was something which was not feeling like real service coming from heart. Near by is the clock tower and big market place which is worth to visit. You can buy almost all You need from there. from clothes to fruits and meat. Nice Mwxican market.

Overall the Hotel Emily is a reasonably priced hotel: excellent location, right on the town square in front of the famous clock tower in Pachuca, about an hour from Mexico City. Pictures below. Rooms are relatively small but very clean, shower is excellent, internet in the room good (a bit slow) and there is a wall flat screen TV. Our room did not have a view and was a bit noisy as it overlooked the lobby but there are rooms with a view of the central plaza. There is parking. Prices are very, very reasonable, and include a good buffet breakfast for two (with any type of eggs or quesadillas, fruit, juices, pancakes, etc). Some reviewers mentioned the smell from the drains -the hotel has fixed the problem with rubber covers over the drains in the bathroom and showers. There is a coffee maker but coffee only provided for one night but there is coffee in the restaurant.
