Breakfast leaves much to be desired, but better than nothing. I just booked a reservation again. Surprised this place has low star rating. It's better than others nearby with more stars. Even the wifi signal in my room was great.

“Comfort, Convenience, Value & Pet-Friendly”

We booked Villa del Sol mainly because it was one of the very few hotels that is pet-friendly (we have a small dog). The reviews were helpful, but we had limited choices. We booked Villa del Sol mainly because it was one of the very few hotels that is pet-friendly (we have a small dog). The reviews were helpful, but we had limited choices. Well, we are delighted with the hotel. Our double room is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and there was indeed lots of hot water. The continental breakfast was very good -- good hot coffee, assorted fresh pastries, fruit and OJ. There is on-site, secure parking, and someone on duty in the office all night. We had the same internet difficulty Robert B described, but we also were in a room off the back courtyard, #28, so the signal likely could not get through. Giovanni (desk) offered a change to a room on the front courtyard for our second night and the internet here couldn't be better. The block behind the hotel is a residential area so that was pleasant for dog-walking. There is a major shopping plaza a very short walk down the main street. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, and we would certainly stay here again.

“Simple place with great location and great value.”

Spent two nights here on business. I showed up at 6 p.m. with no reservation and had no trouble getting a room. The hotel is small, but the rooms are clean and well-appointed. Spent two nights here on business. I showed up at 6 p.m. with no reservation and had no trouble getting a room. The hotel is small, but the rooms are clean and well-appointed. The AC works great and so does the hot water. There is free wifi, but we had trouble connecting in our room (#26), I suspect due to the concrete walls. But in the lobby, the connection was fast and the furniture was comfortable. There is a small indoor parking lot which adds security for your vehicle. In the mornings there is free coffee and sweet breads. It's a short walk to Plaza del Sol for shopping or dining. The price was about half that of the big hotel across the street. This was my second stay here and I'll be coming back!

“Villa del Sol Hotel”

We paid 620 pesos for a double room. The place was cozy and clean and had all we needed. They even offered coffee, orange juice and bread in the next morning. Although the place was alright, you might be able to find better options around the Expo for the same or less money.
