I always stay here when I go to Patzcuaro. Here’s why. The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows comfortable, all the plubming works well and there’s plenty of hot water, and each room has a fireplace. It’s located on the street near the Basilica (two blocks from the main plaza), so it is convenient but not noisy. A few good places to eat are nearby, plus a bakery. The central garden very pleasant, the style is rustic colonial (very nice), very Mexican-looking. The internet signal is strong on two ends of the hotel, and I had no problem connecting or Zooming there. (The 18th cent walls are so thick that reception is not good inside the rooms.) In all, the best value as well as the nicest place to stay in Patzcuaro, for my tastes.

“This is by far the BEST place to stay for women traveling alone!”

I drove by myself from Denver hoping to find a place to stay that would be kind to women. I booked this place almost by accident and the first day of my stay, I requested to rent the place for 3 months! I drove by myself from Denver hoping to find a place to stay that would be kind to women. I booked this place almost by accident and the first day of my stay, I requested to rent the place for 3 months! I am in the middle of a divorce and decided to drive down to this magical land, and I can honestly say that this place Heals. The rooms are spacious, extra clean, with an Argentinian restaurant in the property. The food is delicious and the staff (3-4 people total) are the original owners of the place live on the other side of the building. They are kind, respectful and wish to make your stay memorable. They do offer longer stays if that is what you are looking for. I can't say enough good things about this place. The one thing I have to stress is that they welcome women traveling alone. They are taking ggod care of me and this is my way of thanking them. Do not hesitate to book here, you will NOT regret it! And the prices are ridiculous low! “3rd or 4 th Visit to Patzcuaro”

Small but great hotel of one level built around a plant filled courtyard. We had room # 9, quite large with 2 double beds, a desk, wood burning fireplace, a couple of chairs and a large bathroom. The shower was one of the best we’ve experienced anywhere we’ve travelled. Very welcoming family own… lisää

Small but great hotel of one level built around a plant filled courtyard. We had room # 9, quite large with 2 double beds, a desk, wood burning fireplace, a couple of chairs and a large bathroom. The shower was one of the best we’ve experienced anywhere we’ve travelled. Very welcoming family owned business, a pleasure to do business with. Close to Plaza Grande and Plaza Chica, easy walk to the area known as Once Patios, very quiet and restful.

This 100 year old hacienda offers an oasis in the heart of Patzcuaro. Located by the Cathedral with it's bustling mercado it is an easy walk to many fine restaurants and the central plaza. The spacious rooms each have a fireplace for those chilly nights, comfortable beds laden with soft sheets and blankets, and a coffee maker to get our mornings off to a good start. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Since it is a very small hotel, reservations should be made early during special events.
