Really good structure close to the park entrance. The dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent. Breakfast starts 5am, so you can be at the gate at 6am. The common area is very pleasant and great for taking photos, also there may be some wildlife around.The only downside was the Wi-Fi — there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms (which is fine), but the connection in the common area was also quite weak.

Great accommodation in the perfect location to make your way to local attractions. Cabins are well appointed and spacious including a fridge. Great accommodation in the perfect location to make your way to local attractions. Cabins are well appointed and spacious including a fridge. Food is excellent and having cooked to order game meats as part of dining is a bonus. Bar and other common areas are also welcoming. No wifi in rooms, but that’s not a bad thing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Completely recommend.

“Practical location - just 100m from the entrance to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei”

We liked the room (no. 124) very much, it had a good view since it is located in the first row towards the desert. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. However, this accomodation also had a few setbacks: We arrived at the lodge after we have been driving on the gravel road C14 from the Kalahari for several hours. Were glad when we arrived, but with us several others checked in at the same time. Turned out that the accomodation is quite touristy and also accomodates several groups travelling with tour busses. This was quite a change of atmosphere after arriving from a more quiet accomodation in the Kalahari. Even though the staff tried, the dining facilities were way too small so all guests had to dine outside - even though it was quite cold outside. When asked why this is, we received the feedback: because guests are asking for it. From our perspective this is due to insufficient space inside. Food was ok, but nothing special. The reception area, bar area etc. were lacking a personal touch which could complement the fantastic surrounding.

“Convenient but not the best experience.”

We were on a self drive trip and wanted somewhere close to the Dead Vlei and Dunes. Room was lovely with excellent facilities including aircon. Gardens and plants lovely. We were on a self drive trip and wanted somewhere close to the Dead Vlei and Dunes. Room was lovely with excellent facilities including aircon. Gardens and plants lovely. Pool area was great although sun loungers have seen better days and need replacing. Food was less than appetising apart from the BBQ - understanding the distance from availability, it was mass produced tinned food with bottled sauces to disguise the less appetising buffet. What wasn't eaten on one day was reproduced the next with a few extra ingredients and more bottled sauce. There is no excuse except laziness in the kitchen. The buffet breakfasts and all meals was placed in a hot room with no fans for aircon for at least 2-3 hours and then represented the next day. Desserts were not fresh - all out of a packet - and in the hot room. Compared to other hotels and lodges we have stayed at on this trip in remote areas through Zimbabwe this was the worst food we had. The chef needs a good shake up!!! Staff on the whole were pleasant but again compared to Zimbabweans, they didn't come across as helpful or enthusiastic. Particularly reception on check out - surly was our experience. Value for money 3/5
