Radisson Red Hotel

“The best choise when you have an early flight”

A confortable stay with good food close to the airport. Much easier to use than the other hotels that need taxi or shuttle bus to and from the terminal.

“Great location at OSL”

Good value and conveniently located! Clean rooms and pleasant staff. Only drawback is the 15 minute walk with luggage to/from the airport, as there are no shuttles at the hotel. So this becomes an inconvenience for people with mobility issues.

“Closest Hotel to the Oslo Airport”

We stayed here because of the hotel’s location within easy walking distance to the terminal and train. This was especially useful to us as we had an early morning flight and wanted the easiest path to our flight. We stayed here because of the hotel’s location within easy walking distance to the terminal and train. This was especially useful to us as we had an early morning flight and wanted the easiest path to our flight. The Radison Red is not exceptional in any regard but it is fine for a night’s stay. The bed was fine and the room clean. The price was pretty good too considering the hotel’s location. The bonus is that the walkway is covered in case the weather is bad.

“Fine hotel but the check-in process needs to be changed”

We stayed in the not-Red (i.e., the regular Radisson) at the beginning of the trip and in the Red at the end. We stayed in the not-Red (i.e., the regular Radisson) at the beginning of the trip and in the Red at the end. Loved the experience at the not-Red (great check-in experience and breakfast [shared restaurant with the Red]). Our room at the Red was fine, but the check-in was...not great. There was one person at reception who was handling an airline crew check in so we went to the kiosks where one was broken and the rest were taken up. One freed up and we used it, but man it's a horrible process. Imagine having to type in every guest's passport and address information using an on-screen keyboard. It takes forever. There was a spare computer at the end and one guest tried to use it but the lady who was assisting folks with the kiosk snapped at him DO NOT TOUCH THAT COMPUTER!!! THAT IS NOT FOR YOU!!!! IT IS FOR EMPLOYEES!!!! -- definitely could have been handled better. The second bad part about using the kiosks, once we were able to check in, is that there are no instructions during the check-in process, or signage afterwards, that certain rooms are in different wings of the hotel, so we wandered around and around. There is a sign bty the elevator that says the elevators are for rooms 2101-6138 and 2240-6275, and if you are in rooms 0302-6431, you need to go to the left. (I took a picture but can't upload it in this interface.) We were in room 43xx which falls into all of those categories, so we didn't know where to go and just took those elevators. Eventually we found out after wandering around they are in a separate Red wing, but there is no signage to indicate that. Long story short: fine place to stay if you need to catch an early flight but it's best to wait for a person and skip the check-in kiosks. Much much easier and I'm sure they'd direct you better.
