Housed in a beautiful building from 1873, this charming hotel is found in Lillesand’s picturesque harbour. Rooms offer a mix of old-world charm and modern comforts. Lillesand Hotel Norge is a member of 'De Historiske', an organisation containing many of Norway’s most charming hotels and restaurants. The 25 rooms are all in individual in style. Our room (no 302) was named after the famous Norwegian author Knut Hamsun and is one of the most special hotel rooms I have ever visited (see my attached photos and you will understand). All the staff were friendly and helpful! Everyone made you feel as if you were at home. I love to stay at these small hotels with great personal service! The hotel has a free car park. Familyrun hotel, 25 rooms, ventrally situated on the main harbour square. Nice rooms. Inside Reception, great public rooms including a Library (Nobel Prize winner Knut Hamsun was a frequent visitor at the hotel) very warm welcome at arrival and continued throughout our stay from a very friendly staff. We certainly will be back. The hotel has its’ own restaurant, Nino’s, two minutes walk from the hotel and situated on the waterfront.

“Lovely and traditional hotel in the heart of Lillesand”

We had a lovely welcome from The receptionist. The hotel was almost sold out when we booked, and all they had left was a room in the attic with no lift! That meant three floors up on a windy staircase! I suppose the building is listed - hence no elevator. The room was extremely small and the bathr… lisää

We had a lovely welcome from The receptionist. The hotel was almost sold out when we booked, and all they had left was a room in the attic with no lift! That meant three floors up on a windy staircase! I suppose the building is listed - hence no elevator. The room was extremely small and the bathroom even smaller, but it was oh so cute! The bed was really comfy. Breakfast was staggered and a bit slow, but the service was great and the food was good - served on afternoon tea trays! The hotel in general seems to be understaffed, probably due to Covid and lack of much- needed foreign staff., considering they are fully booked. Hopefully this will soon be back to normal.
