The hotel is well located in the center of Bergen, right near the harbor. Good room, but poor soundproofing can be disturbing. Excellent breakfast, service and staff. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport by tram number 1 (terminal stop Byparken). The journey took about 50 minutes and the price was 4.70 eur. From Byparken to the hotel it is about a 600 m walk.

I was happy staying here, its a good location , you are just a street away from the harbour and the fishmarket and its an easy walk to most of the major sites and to restaurants and shops. Right nearby there is a small supermarket thats useful if you want snacks and drinks, (and also they have things like reindeer cured meat thats cheaper than buying it on the waterfront). The breakfast was decent, not a vast choice but all you can eat and a mix of continental, some cooked, fruit and muesli. Good way to fuel up for the day. I really liked the free tea, coffee and water in the lobby, that was a nice way to save a little bit of cash. Good shower and I did find the bed comfy. Small ish room but fine for a short stay and housekeeping was pretty efficient. Small gripe with the room was that the step down from the bathroom is quite big and a bit jarring as your stepping down onto a dark carpet in a dark room at night! Plus if you went to the toilet during the night the way the light is you will wake up your partner! But as no one loves me thats fine. In truth its a 3* hotel but its the staff and the location that make it 4*. There was an issue with the card reader on the doors when i was there and my card had to be re done each day but they dealt with this well. The breakfast staff were good too and all in all the staff were very friendly. I would happily stay again. I paid about £260 for 3 nts which for Bergen i thought was pretty reasonable.

We stayed in a room on 5th floor so great views over the harbour and quiet. Usual offerings for breakfast with lots to choose from hot and cold selections. No room safe, very limited storage capacity for longer stays and other than the bed only one chair. Bed very comfortable and staff super frie… lisää
