“An excellent place to stay in Voss”

This is a fantastic little hotel. Location is excellent, right next to the train station and gondola an ld easy access to the town centre. This is a fantastic little hotel. Location is excellent, right next to the train station and gondola an ld easy access to the town centre. Room is perfectly clean and modern, equipped with mini fridge, hairdryer etc. The hotel lounge area and s great, chess, checkers and a fab shuffleboard table. There’s a bar and restaurant too - breakfast in particular was excellent. There’s also some swings and a little play area outside too. There’s a small area to buy drinks and snacks by reception also and ski lockers available for hire so you don’t clutter up your rooms. The staff here are excellent - super helpful and kind. Highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Scandic Voss for a week for a family snowboarding holiday. We were travelling with 2 adults and 2 kids (aged 11 and 16). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with the positives of the hotel far out-weighing the negatives. Positives… - Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is the best hotel breakfast we’ve had at any hotel, ever! - Staff: All helpful, polite and attentive, especially those on reception and Anya in the restaurant. - Location: Brilliantly located for the train, gondola, bus station, free ski bus to Myrkdalen, and local amenities. - Facilities: The gym and sauna are well maintained and lovely to use; the free board games shuffleboard and Super Mario Kart were great for evening entertainment; the free luggage store was great for the equipment we couldn’t fit into our paid ski locker. - Cleanliness: All areas of the hotel we used were clean and tidy. - Atmosphere: The hotel is modern, and the decor and lighting is contemporary but warm and welcoming. The communal areas near reception and the bar and restaurant are all relaxed, and we enjoyed spending time in them. Room for improvement… - Storage space: We struggled to unpack as the storage in the room wasn’t ideal, especially for those doing winter sports. The room itself was big enough and had lots of empty space. This issue could be simply solved by adding a bench behind the door, with space underneath for shoes and extra hooks above for coats. - Sockets: There are not many plug sockets, and no socket by the kettle. We took a multi-plug extension, which we would have been stuck without. - Fridge: The mini fridge in the room was not cold enough, so our milk went off quickly. We would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore Voss and surrounding areas, including those with children.

“Great for family ski trip”

Excellent hotel for a ski break. It is a stones throw from the gondola and train station - perfect location. Good boot room for ski equipment. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Excellent hotel for a ski break. It is a stones throw from the gondola and train station - perfect location. Good boot room for ski equipment. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent… sometimes tricky to find a seat, however if you are ok to wait, one will become free soon enough. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Beautiful views of the lake too. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. We loved our trip.

Great hotel to stay. Friendly staff, good and clean rooms and an exceptional breakfast buffet. Coffee at reception is for Scandic Friends free. It is next to the cable car and thus has an excellent location for e.g. a skiing weekend. We parked at the open station parking just 3 minutes walk away, as it is cheaper than the parking garage right at the hotel. Would anytime come back to Scandic Voss.
