We stayed in the Sunny Soelden over Christmas and can't fault our stay. The staff were always fantastically helpful. Our room was ready at 1230 when we arrived which was a bonus as we did not expect to get into it until later. The food, although not always to my taste, was excellently prepared well presented. The free WiFi is excellent and you can stream if that is your requirement. You get robes and slippers in your room which is great to go to the pool. The rooms have a fridge, which is handy as we take a kettle with us for tea and coffee first thing before breakfast. The walk to the nearest Gondola is not too bad, and if you follow the piste map (not like me) you can get back to the bottom of the gondola at the end of the day fairly painlessly. At the end of the week we had an evening flight and there was no issues with leaving bags at the hotel whilst we skied the last day, we were also loaned towels on our return so we could get a shower and get changed which was a great touch. Oh, and there are pet pigs in the hotel which my daughter loved! (I kid you not). I would definitely go back to this hotel and resort and am happy to recommend.

“Excellent all rounder”

Believe the 5* ratings. Attentive staff, very good food ( though meat option consistently better than fish), excellent pool and saunas, near lifts ( via unmarked pedestrian bridge).

“Christmas ski trip”

Cannot rate this high enough. Fantastic staff, really attentive, very clean, food was beautiful and location great. Stayed over Christmas and it was a lovely experience. Would definitely stay again.

Despite contacting the hotel prior to arrival stressing we wanted twin beds which they agreed to, we (to male friends) were allocated a double bed! This was changed the next day and it was in a very spacious room with a nice view. Apparently, the smaller rooms all have double beds (Austrian twins) … lisää

Despite contacting the hotel prior to arrival stressing we wanted twin beds which they agreed to, we (to male friends) were allocated a double bed! This was changed the next day and it was in a very spacious room with a nice view. Apparently, the smaller rooms all have double beds (Austrian twins) that cannot be separated! There was a small fridge and kettles were available from reception free of charge, but on a first come first served basis! The staff ranged from being very friendly and helpful on reception to rude and unhelpful in the dinning room! The food was generally good but the main meals were small. Good job there was unlimited soup, salad and cheese! If you were skiing, there was a great boot room and you had to walk up to ten minutes to the main cabin lift. There was also a decent selection of bars and restaurants from 5 to 20 minutes away which meant the hotel was lovely and quiet! On the slopes, the snow was excellent and the bars efficient and reasonably priced
