I stayed at the hotel for just one night on my way to Machu Picchu, and aside from a general positive feeling of warmth and comfort, I probably can't say much else. At the same time, I'd like to express my personal gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Helen Saenz, the hotel staff member responsible for guest relations. She started helping me prepare for my trip to Peru long before the actual date of my visit. We corresponded regularly, and I received a lot of useful advice and great help from Helen — from booking tickets to Machu Picchu to arranging the transfer from Cusco to the hotel and back. I would be glad if the hotel management could recognize Helen's professionalism, openness, friendliness, and constant readiness to help guests of the hotel and of Peru.

“Lovely birthday dinner!”

Had a wonderful birthday dinner post our visit to Machu Picchu. The restaurant was very rustic and cozy with candle light and the food was delicious. The service was also amazing, Miguel made my birthday very special :) thank you!

“All Good at El Alb Olly”

We stayed here on our way back from Machu Pichu. They were able to hold our luggage for us on our way up which was very helpful. The location was outstanding, directly at the train station. No issues for us with noise at night. No AC but it does cool down at the higher altitude. The gardens are won… lisää

No issues for us with noise at night. No AC but it does cool down at the higher altitude. The gardens are wonderful and we ate at the restaurant twice--farm to table goodness. The staff is very helpful, and they know the area completely. Highly recommend.

“Beautiful gardens”

Lovely comfortable rooms, loved the shutters and candles provided. The flowers in the room were a nice touch. The hotel has an onsite farm which provides most of the ingredients for the restaurant. We ate here on both nights of our stay and had beautiful food both nights. Great recommendations from… lisää

Lovely comfortable rooms, loved the shutters and candles provided. The flowers in the room were a nice touch. The hotel has an onsite farm which provides most of the ingredients for the restaurant. We ate here on both nights of our stay and had beautiful food both nights. Great recommendations from our waiter Miguel who was so helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate. We used the onsite sauna which is wood fired and you need to book at least 2 hours beforehand. The gardens are beautiful and we saw hummingbirds from our balcony. My only issue was the noise of the trains which started at 4am but the hotel is situated on the hotel platform and this isn’t a major problem if you are only there for a day or two
