“Love this hotel!”

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. The location is excellent, right across the street from the beautiful cathedral, walking distance to the river front (and the Ponte Luis to get across to Gaia), near lots and lots of restaurants and shopping. This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. The location is excellent, right across the street from the beautiful cathedral, walking distance to the river front (and the Ponte Luis to get across to Gaia), near lots and lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Their breakfast service is a nice spread, with something for everyone. The rooms are cozy but modern and nicely decorated. The only odd thing was the room in which we stayed this time around had a glassed-in shower...including the wall that faced the bedroom. It was covered with Venetian blinds. Would definitely stay here next time we come to Porto without any hesitation!

The hotel is central to all the tourist areas. Overlooking the cathedral. The river is a short walk away but a long way down (and back up) there is a funicular around the corner & taxis are cheap. The hotel is central to all the tourist areas. Overlooking the cathedral. The river is a short walk away but a long way down (and back up) there is a funicular around the corner & taxis are cheap. I had a room on the ground floor overlooking the central courtyard where the rooms below (-1😮) had small patios. The room was small but fine for me. Strange layout - toilet in one bit, shower in another bit and the sink by the bed. Lovely big comfy bed. Coffee machine in room but I requested a kettle which was fine. Fridge & safe in room. Good breakfast, plenty of choice and excellent service from the guy running the dining room & bar. Very friendly. Says it has 77 rooms but didn’t seem like that, maybe it will in high season. One tip make sure you have comfy shoes - lots of walking.

“Location was great, noise was an issue...”

We stayed here for 3 nights - Monday thru a Thursday. The views are great! The location is great - very central to the things most tourists would want to do. Steps from the Cathedral, the river district, the TimeOut Market, the bridge to Gaia, etc. The problem for us was the street & subway noi… lisää

We stayed here for 3 nights - Monday thru a Thursday. The views are great! The location is great - very central to the things most tourists would want to do. Steps from the Cathedral, the river district, the TimeOut Market, the bridge to Gaia, etc. The problem for us was the street & subway noise. The area is VERY busy until late at night & then again early in the morning. Traffic, people talking on the street, the subway screeching, the seagulls, etc. This is not the fault of the hotel at all as the location is what it is... just be aware if you book here. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were fine & helpful with getting us our room & securing our airport taxi. Our room was cleaned each day, which is a nice change from having to request service. Breakfast, included with our stay, was also ok. Typical buffet breakfast at a Hilton. I very much enjoyed the fresh bee honeycomb & honey every morning! That was a treat. This is a funky little hotel in Porto that was pleasant, but just a tad noisy for us older folks that like to be in bed by 10pm. ;)
