“Great location, staff are great, rooms vary in quality”

I stayed here twice on my trip to Patagonia and my experience was colored by the room I was assigned each time. Location is great - right on the Plaza de Armas in the historic center of the city and a short walk down the hill to restaurants and the waterfront. It was a $20 cab ride (Uber) from the airport. One downside of the location is that parking is impossible - stay elsewhere if you have a vehicle (as I did on my second stay). Staff were helpful and friendly in both Spanish and English. This is an old-school hotel with shop son the ground floor, so reception is up 2 flights of stairs and most of the rooms are up another flight of stairs - so consider this is you have a lot of luggage or challenges with stairs. There is no lift / elevator. On my first stay I was given a family room with 2 single beds and a double bed. The bathroom was small, but clean and functional but had been installed very amateurishly. Flooring throughout was vinyl plank and it all felt a little more like a hostel than a proper hotel. On the other hand, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature were great. On my second visit, I was given a room overlooking the square which was much nicer (although smaller) and felt like it belonged more with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate, if a little limited, and did the job. Wifi was spotty and OK for basic email and web browsing - but not any more than that. Overall recommended with caveats. I wish I could book direct with them rather than having to go through third party sites, but that seems to be standard with smaller hotels in South America.

“Nice Hotel, Excellent Location”

We stayed for one night in late-April 2025 and do not have any complaints. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was quite good. For anyone who wants to explore Punta Arenas, this is a great location to work from. It is right downtown, next to the Plaza squa… lisää

For anyone who wants to explore Punta Arenas, this is a great location to work from. It is right downtown, next to the Plaza square. If I was traveling in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay here.

“Great for the transit traveller”

Lovely little hotel with great staff, and super clean. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues as there are staircases to enter the hotel, and more to rooms and restaurant. No lift either. If you stay on a Friday or Saturday night request a room not facing the main square, as Puntas boy rac… lisää

If you stay on a Friday or Saturday night request a room not facing the main square, as Puntas boy racers are noisy and this carries on into the early hours.

“Clean, quiet, good location.”

I spent 1 night here before going on an “O” circuit hike. Efficient check-in and check-out. Very clean & quiet. Centrally located. Good breakfast. Rooms are a bit small and don’t have much character, but are functional. Uber from the airport to the hotel was only around $20.

The hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Punta Arenas and if you want to feel the history you should try hunting and staying for a day or two. Rooms are decorated in historic old style, ceiling is 4 meters high and the floors are obvisouly squeaking:) Majority of rooms are facing the main square… lisää

Breakfast is typical, but nothing special. Reception speak good English.
