Recently stayed at the hotel on a business trip. The hotel is well located for the city. The rooms are spacious clean and tidy. Friendly helpful staff with an excellent breakfast.

Location is 30-40 minute walk to the old town but Ubers very cheap if you don’t want to walk. Comfortable and well appointed rooms. Breakfast is excellent. HIE is a 3 star brand but this goes above that. Great staff

Having been to many Holiday Inn Express properties over the past 18-24 months, the thing is that you always know what you are going to get and many properties also tend to go above and beyond the minimum requirements that the brand asks with nice personal little touches. Of course you cannot expect it everywhere, but it separates the outstanding hotels from the very good ones. The location is easy to find with many buses a few stops from the city centre and railway station serving here. The building looks lovely at night lit up in blue and the welcome I received from the reception desk was nice and warm with exceptionally friendly staff. Daria deserves special praise here at both check in and check out. I was allocated a room on higher floor but next to elevator despite asking to be away from elevator. No mention of IHG Rewards anywhere in hotel or on check in which is unusual. The rooms are large and well equipped, the bathroom is spotless and shower has really good water pressure, the staff are very friendly and everything is pristine and clean and so it should be for a hotel that has not been open for too long. TV was nice and large, channels not hugely extensive but not awful. AC functioned fine and bed was comfortable with a good choice of pillows. I slept really well so no complaints there, despite my initial apprehension about being next to an elevator who I could occasionally hear ding. Breakfast, was disappointing by HIE standards. Unfortunately the range shown on the photos of the hotels own website and their page on IHG's reservation system was not representative of what was being offered at the hotel. The offering was limited and of average quality. Staff are watching you and the moment you take the last item from your plate are straight away coming to collect it to discourage further eating. The area was also quite dark, with many lights turned off which feels cost saving. And if you want to take your breakfast away as you have early train? That'll be a 50 Zloty charge. I've never ever seen this in an HIE property before. All these things scream of cost control being too tight, something I've never felt in any other HIE. My advice for the management is to take a trip to their sister HIE hotel near Warsaw Airport and see how stays can be elevated to excellent with personal touches at check-in and upon entering the room and more of a focus of making breakfast an experience that delights guests rather than ticks boxes at minimum cost. I'd still recommend this hotel, but there is room for improvement.

“Nice Hotel”

Hotel check-in was fast and friendly. The room was on the 5th floor which is the top floor. The room and the bathroom were spotless. Complimentary Wifi, a large TV, and a couple of bottles of water. Hotel check-in was fast and friendly. The room was on the 5th floor which is the top floor. The room and the bathroom were spotless. Complimentary Wifi, a large TV, and a couple of bottles of water. Breakfast was included, and there was a huge choice of foods available. My only complaint was that the room could have been warmer. Heating seemed to be a problem. Public transit is close by, no more than a 10-minute walk away. I can recommend this hotel in Lublin

“Disappointing Experience Despite a Great Property”

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express with my parents. I am familiar with the IHG brand as I also work for the company, so I know what to expect from the brand standards. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and new, so I initially had high expectations. Unfortunately, the stay was let down by poor communication and a lack of staff training. During a fire alarm, the phone in my parents’ room didn’t work - which is a serious health and safety issue. I reported this immediately. There were also several issues with billing and communication: • I confirmed my staff discount for all food and beverage items before dining, yet when paying after dinner, I was told the discount was “not applicable.” • When I asked for a copy of my bill, I was told I would receive it upon checkout - I still haven’t received it, even a month later. • I was also charged for parking twice - I paid upon check-in, but was told again at checkout that it hadn’t been paid. Despite emailing both reception and the General Manager for clarification, no one has responded, which is incredibly disappointing. On the positive side, the breakfast was great with a good selection, and the staff were polite and friendly, but clearly not properly trained to handle basic guest service and billing procedures. This experience does not reflect true hospitality, and it’s not what I would expect from an IHG property. The hotel has so much potential, but staff training and communication need urgent attention.
