Let's get the negatives out of the way. The room was a little disappointing, being rather small and dated. Breakfast was also basic but this can be forgiven due to the Covid-19 restrictions on buffet dining. However, the negatives were compensated for in the friendliness of the staff, the warm welcome, very comfy bed and great location for the town centre and plenty of nearby restaurants (highly recommend the Greek round the corner!). We were travelling on motorcycles and they allowed us to safely park in the hotel garage which was a huge bonus. Would we return? Probably not as we found the region lacking but if we were to pass through that way again en-route elsewhere, yes, we'd use this hotel again.

The bar area is next to the front door opposite the reception-it is very small, plus you ae not allowed to make a noise, Stopped in the bar, after a meal out and just chatting/laughing and we were asked to leave by the receptinist, as someobe ahd complained about the noise!. So the bar area is a no go area for enjoyment!. The breakfast is adequate, not the best but ok. The rooms are small but the beds are very comfortable. The location is great. All in all, enjoyed the stay. Hotels are usually to sleep and then leave for the day, to come back to sleep. No evening meals but restaurant within walking distance.

“Great hotel in great location ”

We stayed here for one night as we were in town for the Women’s World Cup. We had a dedicated parking space around the corner from the hotel and found paid street parking for our second vehicle - there were six of us staying in total. We stayed here for one night as we were in town for the Women’s World Cup. We had a dedicated parking space around the corner from the hotel and found paid street parking for our second vehicle - there were six of us staying in total. It was very hot when we stayed - 35 degrees - and being an old building there is no air conditioning. But the rooms were cool and the curtains and windows had been closed to keep out the sun. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us good advice on local restaurants and landmarks. The breakfast wasn’t great - pastries and fruit which was fine - but there was also a dish of bacon lardons and another of (a kind of) scrambled egg. Neither looked particularly appetising and the 9 Euro’s price seemed a tad steep for something so basic. Other than that though the whole experience was very good. The best bit about the breakfast was being able to eat in the pretty little back garden in the sunshine.

We stayed here one night when visiting for a soccer match, choosing the hotel for its central location and availability of breakfast. We stayed here one night when visiting for a soccer match, choosing the hotel for its central location and availability of breakfast. The staff were helpful, giving us guidance on parking (limited at this time) and storing our bags prior to check-in. Unfortunately, the décor in our room was quite tired, while the toilet was both tiny and oddly shaped – larger people could be challenged using it. That said, the view of the Saint-Cordon Basilica out of the bathroom window was a nice surprise. Breakfast had a relatively limited selection, so was a little disappointing for the price.
