This is an excellent place to stay. Newly built last year, it has settled in very nicely. Location is perfect - only 5 mins walk from the town centre so remains quiet but close enough for restaurants and bars. Speaking of which, there are plenty to choose from in the town centre. So many more options than Belle Plagne and Soleil. The staff were helpful and the bar staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a two bedroom apartment with a view to die for. Plenty of space for a mountain room - all mod cons available. We will absolutely be back.

We stayed at Residence Manaka with 2 other families each with our own apartments. We stayed at Residence Manaka with 2 other families each with our own apartments. Our 2 bedroom apartment with additional sofa bed was well kitted out with very comfortable beds and a lovely view out to the mountains. The apartments sit on a ski in/ out blue run (our kids had done 1 week skiing previously and managed this run without any issue) - access straight from the spacious boot room taking you to two short chair lifts into La Plagne centre where the main lifts and ski schools are. Our kids did Oxygène ski school who were excellent. The apartments are around a 5 min walk into the centre (shops, restaurants, intersport). The pool and spa (sauna, hammam, cold plunge pool) were lovely and staff all very helpful. The sound proofing was also very good with minimal chair scraping from apartments above! The whole building is very new and as with any new build there are some minor “bedding in” issues such as internal doors not closing properly and when the snow melted on the roof it poured onto the balcony but these were minor things. Suggestions for further improvement would be hooks on walls for robes, jackets etc. and to have smart TV set up as only basic channels available on the TVs - most of which were in French and no ability to connect to your own apps / devices. Overall would highly recommend! We will definitely hope to return next year.

“Great Accommodation - shame about the customer service - work out how to open a bar if someone calls in sick!!”

The accommodation was very nice and modern, the place is very clean and the boot room is first class. Ski-in Ski-out very easy. It’s very close to town. The accommodation was very nice and modern, the place is very clean and the boot room is first class. Ski-in Ski-out very easy. It’s very close to town. It’s let down by the “bar” which seems to be closed “a lot” and not very well run. On Tuesday we had a few of a particular cocktail and was told they had run out of an ingredient. By Thursday they hadn’t replenished it and on Friday they didn’t bother opening at all. The reception staff could easily of served some drinks but decided it wasn’t their job. One lady was very helpful, but I saw other customers asking at “reception” and being turned away. Self-catering is difficult because the Spar in town is TERRIBLE. Prices are huge and the selection is awful. Get ready for “Casino” chocolate and the cheapest nastiest food you wouldn’t normally eat at home let alone on holiday. You can get some items at the “artisan” shops, but they aren’t “artisan”, they’re cheap and nasty with a with Swiss flag sticker on them. The supermarkets and the shops obviously have an arrangement to ensure you get screwed the hardest for the worst quality product. Conclusion, bring your own stuff, or use a service to more-order for the week and get it delivered at the start of your holiday. Still a four star rating though because the place itself is actually great with a great view of Mont Blanc. The skiing is great too. I’d go again though and just figure out ways around the niggles.
