“Amazing staff, beautiful setting”

We spent a week here as a family (kids 6 and 3). Arrived on a day with torrential rain and much of the local area flooded. The staff had been run off their feet helping campers who’s tents had been flooded, yet they still had smiles on their faces and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The site is immaculately clean and the pool and bar/restaurant area have breathtaking views. Plenty of things for the kids to do day and night. The activities for the kids (all free) are also fantastic. My wife enjoyed the yoga and I enjoyed the local runs. An active but very relaxing place to be, perfect for us. It’s like a forest retreat with it’s on spa set in the middle of the woods! We couldn’t of relaxed more. We will be returning in the future. Only criticisms are the lack of drinking water taps and toilets. They are a bit of a trek from some of the pitches, and the shop could be better stocked....however that is minor criticism. The area is beautiful too, especially if you enjoy running or cycling, some good trail paths to be found!

“A nice place to unwind, set amidst lush forest-gardens!”

It is our second time round and we really enjoy this place, away from the hustle. We enjoy the log cabin, the trees, the birds. It is a pity the food served in the restaurant is so basic, while the Ardeche has such a rich gastronomic tradition. True, the food is prepared on site in front of you, but it lacks fantasy and refinement. Also, we recommend some of the restaurants that are within a ten minutes drive from the camping-village and that serve excellent meals at reasonable prices. We always enjoy all the activities proposed by the Huttopia team and they are what makes this place exceptionnal.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Huttopia - the surrounding scenery is stunning, the staff was at our very service - the cabins just what it takes between comfort and adventure. We loved to be in this secluded estate, off the beaten tracks, but just minutes away from the incredible medieval villages and awesome Gorges d'Ardèche! We'll be back!

“Brilliant staff and activities but lots missing at this price”

We often seen Huttopia sites advertised, so we finally bit the bullet and booked one. We often seen Huttopia sites advertised, so we finally bit the bullet and booked one. There are lots of things to like about the site: the reception area/bar/terrace is a lovely space, with views across the tree tops. There are lots of games to play and a well set out volleyball/badminton area with a small playground and table tennis tables. The two outstanding points are the staff and the activities. The site is run by a group of young, enthusiastic people who add to the experience and are a credit to the site. The second thing is the well run activities and work shops. Our son went to the outdoor cinema and 3 other workshops and loved every minute of it. They are very well run. If this was a site where I was paying Euro 100 a night I would give it 5 stars but at about Euro 300, there are a lot of things missing when I pay that amount. We stayed in a Cahutte Village hut, which had a wooden downstairs and a ladder leading to a canvas roofed upstairs, where we slept. The hut was fine - but basic but upstairs did get very hot and unfortunately although we had 2 fans, the cable could only extend to plug one in! The site also sells itself as "car free" but as we found out, there are quite a few cars that drive around - we assume to get to cabins further from the entrance. Our cabin was near the entrance but up a hill, so we had to pull and push our luggage and shopping in 36 degree heat. Not pleasant. There's no WIFI at all, so be prepared for that. Finally, of the 5 nights we stayed there a local venue seemed to hold a music gig on 2 of the nights, with loud music going on until about 11.30pm. The cabin was also near the road, so rather than the noise of the forest we could hear the odd car. There's lots to like about this site and if you are in a cheaper pitch it would be good value for money. At Euro 300 a night, there's a lot missing for us.
