“A Lovely Hotel In A Perfect Location”

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel. I asked for a ground floor room and we were given a double room with an extra bed in a separate room. Much nicer than the room we booked. We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel. I asked for a ground floor room and we were given a double room with an extra bed in a separate room. Much nicer than the room we booked. We were grateful not to have to climb stairs. The proprietors were kind and helpful. The hotel is a short walk through a pretty park to the sea front. They also gave me some restaurant recommendations . My questions were answered promptly. The hotel is comfortable with plenty of areas to relax and a lovely outside terrace. Although there is no restaurant, they will prepare a delicious platter of cheese and ham. The only slight negatives, were the very loud TV above our room and the bar closing at 8pm which seemed very early. Maybe it opens later in the peak months. We had a lovely break and we will return and recommend The Hotel Victoria to our friends.

“Perfect Boutique hotel”

Our second stay in this lovely Boutique hotel, perfect for visiting Chatelallion Plage. The owners are very friendly, offering advice where necessary (taking the train to La Rochelle for example). We were pleased to be offered an 'express' breakfast of coffee, orange juice and croissant. Perfect.

“Helpful Friendly Staff, Tired Hotel”

I had high hopes of this hotel given the location and images i'd seen. But was disappointed. I had high hopes of this hotel given the location and images i'd seen. But was disappointed. The gentleman on reception was great, friendly and helpful and gave plenty of recommendations for food and drink. However, the rooms were very tired despite attempts to freshen them up, they really could do with a bit more TLC. We ate locally as basically at this time of hte year the hotels shuts everything down relatively early, no food or bar after either 7 or 8 I can't quite remember. However, that sums up the town as well on a Sunday night at the start of April. Food and drink was hard to come by, drink moreso, basically the casino or nothing. Would I stay here again, probably not, I think I'd venture a little further up the coast.
