The setting is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. ​We would like to thank the entire staff for their kindness and constant availability; they truly made us feel at home. A special mention goes to Chef Nadia: the gastronomic cuisine was outstanding, with every meal being a true delight. ​A highly recommended gem!

“Clean, friendly and homely.”

We had a 4 night stay here, as part of a coach tour and found it to be a clean and friendly, family run hotel; pretty much as it describes iteslf. We had a 4 night stay here, as part of a coach tour and found it to be a clean and friendly, family run hotel; pretty much as it describes iteslf. The meal each night was varied and beautifully prepared home cooking; each night the meat was really tender - I didn't need to prise any of it out of the gaps in my teeth for the whole stay! Maybe it is due for a bit of a freshen up, but shabby chic often adds to, rather than detracts from, the homeliness.

Beautifull hotel from the outside. Some parts inside seem to have been updated in the last few years. For instance the foyer, dining and breakfast rooms and terraces. However it appears that many of the bedrooms leave a lot to be desired. Our room, up in the top of the eaves was very small and old… lisää

Beautifull hotel from the outside. Some parts inside seem to have been updated in the last few years. For instance the foyer, dining and breakfast rooms and terraces. However it appears that many of the bedrooms leave a lot to be desired. Our room, up in the top of the eaves was very small and old fashioned with a door onto the tiny balcony that couldn’t open fully as the bed blocked it. Other guests could access the balcony of the room adjoining ours through a door in the hallway which meant sometimes coming back to a stranger sitting on their balcony. With the possibility of them being able to enter either room if the balcony doors were open. The sloping ceiling in the bedroom meant bending over the bed to get round it and in the bathroom it was safest to kneel in the bath when showering to avoid flooding the floor as there was nowhere to hang the shower head. At times we were without hot water. No Air Conditioning or tea making in the room. Huge TV without a remote. On the other hand the bed was comfortable and the linen clean. The room was fairly clean but there were many cobwebs around the top of the walls. The only socket was under the dressing table so hard to reach, no USB. Some available in the lobby. Food could have been better, typical Continental breakfasts, bread, cheese and cold meats but poor choice of pastries, just croissants or “cake” and only hard boiled or scrambled eggs, no bacon or sausage. No fresh fruit either. Staff on the whole were pleasant enough but one waiter in the dining room wasn’t enough. Dinners varied, some good some just very odd. Bar prices were reasonable. Nice terrace to sit on in the evening after dinner.
