“Superb Stay ”

Had a week their for a training I hosted for a Tier1 Automotive Supplier! The seminar room was great equipped and very spacious. Also off from regular "hotel guest" traffic! Had a week their for a training I hosted for a Tier1 Automotive Supplier! The seminar room was great equipped and very spacious. Also off from regular "hotel guest" traffic! The staff was very professional and made me feel very welcome! The room I had was amazing and very spacious! Unfortunately the weather was bad but still had a good time! Totally recommendable!! The wine is AMAZING and also you have a look into the kitchen to see how the food is prepared. They have flat screens in the restaurant.. Very transparent and great tasting!

Don’t trust what you see from the road! The hotel is hidden behind the ancient building and is looking very modern and new. The style might not please everybody though as everything is extremely dark and concrete but at least it looks pretty good. The room was very large and was well equipped. A sp… lisää

Don’t trust what you see from the road! The hotel is hidden behind the ancient building and is looking very modern and new. The style might not please everybody though as everything is extremely dark and concrete but at least it looks pretty good. The room was very large and was well equipped. A special note for the ( extremely rare in France) real king size, super comfortable bed. Breakfast not bad but not exceptional. As for the spa, it is surprisingly large and offers everything you may wish for a pleasant day. The textile free zone is however a joke as most people ignored the rules and nobody cares to enforce them… we might be close to Germany geographically but not that much in mentalities! Good wifi, free parking. Expensive.

We’ve spent here 2 night in a couple in a nature rooms. Rooms are excellent! Huge windows with a forest view. It’s quiet, no noise even though the road is not far. The spa is marvelous! Three types of sauna, two pools, jacuzzi, at least 4 different napping spots and more over. We came during the week so it wasn’t overcrowded and it’s well organized for Covid. Speaking of a restaurant it’s the only part that we enjoyed less. For a first night we shared a long table with another person. Hello for a romantic getaway. Second night was much better cuz we’ve asked for a separate table, plus the cart dishes were more elaborate than the menu we took the first night. In general, it was a great experience and we would enjoy to come back

“Not the spa experience we were hoping for....”

We had high expectations after reading the other reviews but were let down by the spa experience, which was a big reason why we decided to visit. My husband and I spent the weekend here for my birthday in March. We had high expectations after reading the other reviews but were let down by the spa experience, which was a big reason why we decided to visit. The hotel rooms provide nice accommodation and amenities. The hotel staff were not exactly warm and friendly but they were cordial, helpful and polite. The 6-course tasting menu in the on-site restaurant was wonderful - very inventive and excellent value for money. However, the spa really lets this place down. The spa was way too busy. The heater to the outdoor pool was not working so the pool was cold and uninviting, the relaxation room had beds that were too close together that privacy or indeed relaxation was not possible as you were essentially laying next to the couple next to you. And the indoor pool was both busy and noisy - reminding us more of a public pool than a spa pool. The problem is that this hotel does not prioritize their hotel guests. They invite the general public to enjoy the spa as well. This is absolutely fine but they should at least give their hotel guests the chance to book treatments or book the famed "LA PARENTHESE" in advance, first. We booked our hotel room and were never encouraged to book treatments or the 7 senses spa experience in advance if we wanted to avoid disappointment. When we arrived, they told us that everything had been booked for up to two months in advance! It was so disappointing. I wrote to the hotel directly to share my experience but they never wrote back. I don't tend to write negative reviews online but had to share this feedback for my fellow spa-lovers out there. Sadly, in our opinion, it does not warrant its current rating and we won't be going back or recommending this hotel to others. If you are looking for a fantastic spa experience in this area, go to Le Parc Hotel and Yonaguni Spa in Obernai. It's amazing! The spa is out of this world and the hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. For a nearby foodie experience, go to Thierry Schwartz in Obernai. Their cooking is inventive and the presentation is beautiful.
