“Clean, functional, great staff”

Wife and I stayed 3 nights as part of group weekend in Mayenne. Rooms are basic but clean and good enough; lino floor, bed firm but comfortable though only two lumpy pillows. Our room was rear ground floor which remained lovely and cool all day despite the intense 30+ degrees C heat every day. Large walk in shower but only one towel each - not great when you need a shower morning and evening after the heat. Decent breakfast; usual continental stuff with rolls, croissants, jam, cheese, ham etc but also bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs. Staff were very welcoming and helpful - happy to find me some decaf each morning. Coffee ,tea and juice plentiful. No bar as such but 2 beers on tap and indoor (breakfast room) and outdoor seating. We had a set meal on the first evening for about 30 people which was excellent.

“Good motel on the edge of town - too far from the centre to walk into town to see the sights.”

We were given a warm welcome but unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening. The room was fine and the beds comfortable. We were given a warm welcome but unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening. The room was fine and the beds comfortable. As it turned out, the position (our of town) turned out to be helpful, chiefly because there was a bad problem with one of the cycles. This was resolved thanks to a welder whose work-shop was a short ride away from the hotel. There was a cycle shop nearby too (Giant) but being a Monday, this was closed. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We were able to store our cycles in a secure room in the main part of the hotel. We felt that we had received good value for money. Breakfast was good and plentiful. · We arrived at this motel on a Sunday evening to find that the restaurant was closed. After cycling a long distance, this was disappointing - the only place within walking distance was a McDonalds which we then ate in our room. This made the experience less than great.

“Great overnight stay”

In France I usely take the formula soirée étape = half board = room + diner + breakfast Price quality a very good find. Rooms are modern with surprising touches: coffee in the room, usb connectors in the room hdmi cable for laptop. Diner was a buffet for the 3 courses. Breakfast was OK.

It's good for a stop off or a place to put your head down. If you're looking for a more luxurious stay then this isn't the place for you. Overall though you get what you pay for
