Clean, friendly and comfortable just in front of the beach. We had a doubt whether to stay there or in La Rochelle and were absolutely happy for choosing Les Flots. It is what it is said to be in its best: room, seaview, beach. Nothing annoying, nothing disturbing. Just perfect place to spend a night and then experience the region.

“Comfortable hotel on the sea front”

We chose this hotel because of its recommended restaurant where we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is in a great position on the sea front near the casino and a short walk from the town centre. It gave the impression of having been upgraded recently. We chose this hotel because of its recommended restaurant where we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is in a great position on the sea front near the casino and a short walk from the town centre. It gave the impression of having been upgraded recently. Everything was well-decorated and the lift was modern and spacious. We did not have a sea-facing room but for one night that did not matter and the first floor room overlooked a courtyard garden. The bathroom worked well - except for the sink which was a bowl sitting on the surface with a large tap over it on which you knocked your head id you leaned forward to wash your face! There is no reserved parking but parking on the street was easy and is free (apart from in July and August). Breakfast was good although we had to consult another guest on how to work the coffee machine which did not seem to be designed to produce traditional breakfast 'café au lait' (although maybe none of us mastered it adequately!). The cofee is did produce was good. There was a good buffet spread with cheese, ham, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and fromage blanc, cereals and various breads with a selection of jams. We enjoyed our stay at Les Flots and would return. We stayed here 13th June 2018.

“Beachfront, near everything, modern and comfortable”

Do get a waterfront room... the beds are perfect, the bathroom is shiny and new... you can hear the waves when the tide is high enough (fierce low tide at this beach). The internet is really fast and strong & everyone speaks English or French, whichever you prefer. The breakfast is extra but comes … lisää

Do get a waterfront room... the beds are perfect, the bathroom is shiny and new... you can hear the waves when the tide is high enough (fierce low tide at this beach). The internet is really fast and strong & everyone speaks English or French, whichever you prefer. The breakfast is extra but comes in 2 sizes (the smaller size is express, which is coffe and pastry, which is the one to get, we think... everything is fresh). We ate dinner here twice and it’s the best meal we have had this whole vacation in France... they age their own meat, the fish is just-caught good, and they have their own dessert chef too....

“ENJOYABLE STAY”

We have now stayed in 4 different hotels in Chatelaillon Plage, and Les Flots ticks all the boxes. As others have said, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are very pleasant - especially the girls in charge of breakfast (if we have one small negative observation, we thought brea… lisää

We have now stayed in 4 different hotels in Chatelaillon Plage, and Les Flots ticks all the boxes. As others have said, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are very pleasant - especially the girls in charge of breakfast (if we have one small negative observation, we thought breakfast was on the expensive side - although the fresh orange juice was wonderful). The location cannot be faulted, although parking can be an issue, as there are meters all along the seafront, and these charge for parking from 1st July onwards. We were lucky and were able to park in one of the side streets close to the hotel on the 3 evenings we were there. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner, as it looked rather uninviting and we aren't into Michelin Star cuisine.
