“Great stopover”

After a charming warm welcome we enjoyed our stay at the hotel's restaurant. The kitchen did it's job really good. We followed the staff's recommodations and had a nice evening with a wonderful red wine. At night it was completely quiet.

The external view of the buildings, the lake and the gardens are charming. I found some photos showing it and accordingly chose to reserve a room in this splendid property. Another consideration to choose it was the great location: It is easy and close to Domme, Roque Gageac, Beynac, Castelaund, Marqueyssac gardens, Sarlat, Monfort and more. It is near a big supermarket and a fuel station and several restaurants , bakery and Piza house. Everything which can make it an excellent base for relax and travel. Even the Saturday market is only 50 meters out of the property.I cannot describe my reserved room since the couple owning and running the property, Rosette and Misha, lost our reservation and provided an alternative solution in their property. Such a case never happened before to them and I still asked to stay in this heaven because all the above mentioned advantages. A great and important advantage was the cordial attitude and service of Rosette and Misha. The breakfast is just a celebration- it is very reach and it is served just beside the lake and the fish and garden view. I asked to include vegetables and Rosette responded by the requested salad, in addition to all the other food elements and drinks. The bread and croissant came from the nearby bakery/boulangerie and Rosette added two big cakes she cooked the same morning. It was the best breakfast I had in France during my 16 days trip this time. It compensated most of the initial disappointment for not being found as reserved and as a good decision to remain in the property by a different accommodation solution, still inside the property. I assume that this slight incident will not occur again, but even though I keep this place as a wonderful place to stay. Rosette and Misha are wonderful couple with direct warm attitude and with service orientation. I do not regret for choosing this property and meeting this charming couple and the heavenly property. We'll keep in mind this place as part of an enjoying dream. Therefore I recommend staying here with full heart and wish you a very pleasant stay. “Convenient overnight stop”

Although I drove past the hotel twice (not easily signposted) I had a pleasant overnight stop. Although there is a patio area, there is barely enough furniture for the number of rooms so don't be disappointed if you have to go find some yourself.

“OK but little more.”

Room a little basic in facilities and a distance from reception but we did get the twin beds and walk-in shower that we'd requested. This is more like a motel than a hotel but it is very well located for other facilities.
