“A wonderful lunch”

Really enjoyed the food and the hospitality sat out on the deck over the river. A lovely place to have an enjoyable lunch, the waiter was a great bonus and the staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly.

The hotel is centrally located, which does mean that parking is some distance away, but this is a fairly minor pain. The hotel itself is small, family run, and everything you'd expect from a Logis. The rooms were clean, reasonably sized, and well appointed, and the staff were all friendly, helpful, and willing. The garden and pool are over the road, and are peaceful and pleasant, though the garden itself could use a little more maintenance, and many of the sun loungers had seen better days. The food is good, including the breakfast, and the location is a good base for exploring the various Gorges, the caves, and the stunning scenery of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and happily recommend it,

Excellent location , in the center of the small Meyrueis city. Warm welcome, nice environment. Clean and calm room overlooking one of the 3 small rivers irrigating Meyrueis. Good WiFi connection. Excellent location , in the center of the small Meyrueis city. Warm welcome, nice environment. Clean and calm room overlooking one of the 3 small rivers irrigating Meyrueis. Good WiFi connection. We had our diner at the hotel restaurant and we had a great time, starting with a delicious apéritive , kind of Kir based on chestnut liquor. The starters and main courses were excellent : Roquefort salad, omelet with morilles ( wild mushrooms) , lamb gigot . A must is to taste the aligot, a blend of purée and fresh Auvergne cheese, cream and garlic . Nice desserts and good pitcher of local wine. Breakfast is classic. Overall , an excellent value for money, and a place we would certainly recommend.

Traditional hotel in a lovely location. The pool area is lovely and the main attraction for me. We were a little disappointed with some aspects of the hotel. We had a family room on the 3rd floor but it was so small it was very difficult for 4 of us to be in there comfortably with our luggage. It w… lisää

Traditional hotel in a lovely location. The pool area is lovely and the main attraction for me. We were a little disappointed with some aspects of the hotel. We had a family room on the 3rd floor but it was so small it was very difficult for 4 of us to be in there comfortably with our luggage. It was dark, facing onto a roof at the back, with one tiny window and no air conditioning. The decor needed refreshing and added to the gloomy feel of the room. Service was so-so. We returned to the hotel around 9.30pm after eating out, hoping to have a quick drink before bed, but the only place they have is the restaurant. When we asked if there was anywhere to sit and have a drink they said ‘we wouldn’t normally, but as there are still people in the restaurant i suppose you could go in there’, but it seemed like more of an inconvenience than anything. I would recommend the hotel if travelling in peak season as the pool is lovely, but I wouldn’t stay in a room for 4 there again. Also, rooms at the front of the hotel may possibly be nicer.
