“classic beauty”

Nice place at a great location with friendly people and lovely rooms. Easy going staff after correct check in time is reached, extension of stay exceeded expectations. Hence cool place to visit and there are nice walking options around the hotel.

The Castel Emeraude was an absolute gem of a find. Not only was it a such a great value hotel but it’s set in a very beautiful setting. Unfortunately due to COVID we wasn’t able to sample the dinner we was hoping, however the staff offered us up some variety of meat and cheese that went down very well. Would of stayed for longer if we could.

From the start the communication with the property was smooth and timely. The flexibility of the hotel to be able to provide a late check-in was very welcome, given my travel requirements, despite it not being required. From the start the communication with the property was smooth and timely. The flexibility of the hotel to be able to provide a late check-in was very welcome, given my travel requirements, despite it not being required. The room was spacious and I welcomed the small kitchenette, offering the ability to cook small meals if desired. I was not disturbed by any noise external to my room, and through the evening the sound of the river running behind the hotel was calming and pleasant. The restaurant was great, the staff were friend and helpful and although moderately expensive I found the portions to be a good size and the food delicious. Disliked · The layout of the hotel was a little odd, having a room on the third floor, I had to walk along the verandah/courtyards of other rooms, which detracts significantly from their privacy. The kitchen in my room was old, and it seemed to be lacking some utensils and cookware, however everything functioned without issue.

“Quite Location ”

Older type of hotel more than 20 walk from town. We only started in a budget double room - however there are very good apartment type rooms available. Quite a small room due to cupboards that use to house fridge, stove top etc. (All actual fittings had been removed from our room.) There is direct a… lisää

Quite a small room due to cupboards that use to house fridge, stove top etc. (All actual fittings had been removed from our room.) There is direct access to the river from the hotel. Good continental breakfast available. Helpful reception staff with limited English.
