“Great Overnight Stop”

We expected the normal French stopover with all you need but no frills. Looking at it we expected nothing more but on entering the reception area the interior was clearly better than outside. We expected the normal French stopover with all you need but no frills. Looking at it we expected nothing more but on entering the reception area the interior was clearly better than outside. Rooms are in a separate block, which is unfortunate as we had arrived by bike and the rain was very heavy. The room was fine but a little on the small side when trying to unpack for the night and dry out wet clothing. The restaurant was far better than we were expecting. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food superb. Breakfast was fine. Fantastic location, very close to the A29 but far enough away to not see it.

“Very convenient hotel with friendly staff”

The location near the motorway and Amiens town is excellent. On site parking is easy. The surrounding business park is beautifully quiet at night and provides off-street dog walking opportunities. The location near the motorway and Amiens town is excellent. On site parking is easy. The surrounding business park is beautifully quiet at night and provides off-street dog walking opportunities. A self-service petrol station is near-by in the adjacent retail park. Multi-tasking Caroline at reception and in the restaurant/breakfast room is a very friendly gem with very good English. The room was very small but clean; the bed fabulously comfortable. Unusual: The choice of decaffeinated coffee sachets in the room - Thank you! My dog could stay in my room for a small additional charge and as a single traveller I was relieved that she was also welcome in the restaurant/breakfast room. Everything about this hotel was pleasant and relaxed; a balm after a long day's driving.

“Functional and convenient”

Picturesque it ain't but it is functional and conveniently located. Nine of us were on a battlefields weekend trip and we all had a comfortable double bed in a compact but adequate and clean room. Picturesque it ain't but it is functional and conveniently located. Nine of us were on a battlefields weekend trip and we all had a comfortable double bed in a compact but adequate and clean room. Breakfast was of a continental rather than full English style but good. Economically priced, plenty of parking available. Just be aware that there are no evening meals at weekends because there is no chef; and check your bill as an error was made with ours (albeit in our favour) which they corrected by taking another payment on my card after we left i.e.without authorisation. If you need pack lunches, as we did, the hotel can't provide them (at weekends anyhow) but there is a massive Auchen supermarket just around the corner.

The primary plus of Hotel Inn Design Resto Novo Amiens is its location : Close to the highway, with a supermarket and a gas station next door and plenty of private parking. The edifice reminds me of a soviet style apartment block, lacking any charm. The rooms are clean but judging by the sound coming from the stairway sound isolation is rather poor. Breakfast buffet is alright. However, don’t expect scrambled eggs or bacon. Fine for a stop over on the road to somewhere else.
