“Clean, quiet and in good location”

I stayed here in June 2014 for Sweden Rock Festival. The owner and staff are very friendly. Owner speaks English. Accommodations are basic but clean and quiet. Breakfast each morning consists of sliced meat, cheese, eggs, buns (fresh daily), yogurt, fruit, vegetables, muesli, coffee, tea, milk. There is a refrigerator in the common area you can use if you want to buy anything that needs to be kept cold. You can get coffee all hours in the hotel. Parking is free. It's not staffed in the evening and they give guests a key to let themselves back in at all hours, which was perfect coming back from the music festival. Internet connection was not working most of my trip so if you need reliable service you may not get it here. You can walk through the town from this location. There are cafe's in the town, gas station and a couple of markets. The drive in this area is very pretty and there is an Absolut distillery in the town of Ahus. I have booked with them again this coming summer 2016.

“Price worthy with good service”

Hotell Briggen is a very nice small price worthy hotel with personal service. I’m unsure of numbers of stars but see this hotel as a mixture of nice hostel and hotel and then you know what you shall expect. Hotell Briggen is a very nice small price worthy hotel with personal service. I’m unsure of numbers of stars but see this hotel as a mixture of nice hostel and hotel and then you know what you shall expect. The hotel is really cozy and clean and during the hours of service (in the morning and afternoon) the service is personal and really nice. They have common TV lounge to be used at any hour and the rooms was nice and clean. The rooms are not that large and had limited with space of sitting, accept in the bed which as well had nice sleeping comfort. Common areas inside or outside if the weather in nice is better to use then. Around the corner you find Ahus and all that can offer, ie beaches, nice small town, restaurants ie. Local art and artist are rather common in the region and in close by area of Osterlen. Overall I can warmly recommend this hotel if you don’t expect a luxury hotel with hotel bar, lobby etc. It’s nice, clean, price worthy and of nice personal service.

“Everything fine, nothing memorable”

As the title says, everything was fine. The room ok, dominated by an unnecessarily large tv, bathroom clean but not spotless, staff friendly, breakfast tasty but nothing to dream about. As the title says, everything was fine. The room ok, dominated by an unnecessarily large tv, bathroom clean but not spotless, staff friendly, breakfast tasty but nothing to dream about. Also the pricing is fair, maybe a bit on the high side considering that Ahus itself is probably not the most expensive spot in Sweden. Nevertheless, there was also nothing here that stuck out positively. If you want to spend an extra quiet weekend close to the sea, the hotel Briggen in Ahus is not a bad choice, but I would argue that you might find more impressive spots in Sweden.
