“Nice hotel with friendly staff”

Location of the hotel is okay. Half an hour to the airport and 10-15 minutes to the train to central Stockholm, easy enough to navigate around the city. Location of the hotel is okay. Half an hour to the airport and 10-15 minutes to the train to central Stockholm, easy enough to navigate around the city. The atmosphere is friendly in the hotel, staff on reception very helpful. The breakfast adequate for what you need. Nice lounge area very relaxing and tea and coffee available. There is and outside which is nice. The reason I didn’t give this hotel a 5 star is the rooms. We had a queen and a twin room and whilst the twin was bigger the queen was so tiny our daughters felt they couldn’t breathe! And felt claustrophobic! There wasn’t even a proper Wardrobe! Having all your clothes on show including underwear is a poor show for a 4 star hotel. The other thing in the rooms is you can’t open the windows! There is a constant airflow/ air conditioner unit which is on all the time making it noisy and feel dehydrated in the morning. I kept getting headaches and I don’t normally get them. I think it was to do with the dryness of the room.

Bit of a late review however I stayed at The Hotel Gio between 25th-28th April 2025. It was easy to catch the airport shuttle to the Hotel which was located literally outside the bus stop. Hotel looked nice from outside and inside was lovely too. However the reception staff was very rude insisti… lisää

Bit of a late review however I stayed at The Hotel Gio between 25th-28th April 2025. It was easy to catch the airport shuttle to the Hotel which was located literally outside the bus stop. Hotel looked nice from outside and inside was lovely too. However the reception staff was very rude insisting I paid for my room which was already prepaid. Even after showing him my booking confirmation he was rude and wouldn’t give us the time of day. The room was nice and comfy however the bathroom is weird. Once you’ve showered you can’t just go in without shoes as you’re feel will get wet due to the way the bathroom is set out …. Really not ideal. Rooms are small so don’t expect to spend a great de if tone in them as you can’t. Breakfast was good but beware of people cramming so much food on their plates not leaving a great deals for others. Quick ten min walk to the station and easy to get around…. Beware Stockholm is exspensive so take into consideration….

“Not gluten free”

The breakfast is not gluten or allergy friendly!!!!! Rooms are average/nice. Beds are not comfortable, very spongy. Rooms are stylish however not very practical. Nowhere to hang your bath towel while in shower. Glass doors to the wc without curtain. Mirror in wc lacks enough lights.
