“Great 1406 Hotel & Restaurant”

Located in a small town about 15 minutes north of Hannover. We spent about a week at this beautiful hotel on business. Located in a small town about 15 minutes north of Hannover. We spent about a week at this beautiful hotel on business. Charming, old but with updated comfort including excellent bathrooms and yes "free internet". Surrounded by the quaint town of Grossburgwedel where there is history and pride. Not 5 star but worth the experience. The owner is an entertainment onto himself and the makes the stay amenable.

“Budget hotel teetering on the high end”

I had a double room with single occupancy, the room I had was very nice. It was a good size, very clean, and recently updated. the bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing and it was in a great location near shops and restaurants. I had a double room with single occupancy, the room I had was very nice. It was a good size, very clean, and recently updated. the bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing and it was in a great location near shops and restaurants. This is one of the few hotels in Hannover that also give you a kettle. The staff were very friendly and very helpful One of the down sides is the fact there is no hotel restaurant for evening meals.

“Modern class in an elegant old town”

We'll being on a business for three months this was the only hotel i could book.....something to do with trade fairs in Hannover. We'll being on a business for three months this was the only hotel i could book.....something to do with trade fairs in Hannover. Arrived quiet late as the flight was delayed, but checked in without any fuss and was shown my room in the newer part of the hotel. Like always, i check to see if the hot water is working......alas, freezing water and it was freezing outside too! Then i noticed underneath the washbasin in the bathroom a thermostatic valve on '0' turned it to '5' and went to find somewhere to eat. I have to tell you nearly everything is shut on a Sunday evening, however did find a Italian place (read my review on Padova). By the time i came back, kicked my shoes off and wandered in the bathroom. It was like walking on coals.....under floor heating and there was hot water too. The entire room is modern and adequately equipped. The bathroom enough to bathe a family of 4. Please forgive me for not remembering the owners name, but they were fantastic. There is no ironing board / iron in the room. However, they took all my shirts and they said they would have them ironed by the morning. As i went to breakfast, there they were hanging nicely pressed. Breakfast is continental.....croissant, assorted cheeses, meats, cereals and of course tea and coffee. It was also served early, which is good. Overall a very nice hotel to stay in.

“a Home made 3 Stars in an elegant town”

Almost 30 minutes drive to Hanover at the down town Burgwedel. 20 minutes walking to Groseburgwedel central station (HBF) although these are bus stations next to the Hotel. Rooms are lovely ,clean with basic amenities. All the facilities including breakfast fits in a 3 stars scale of an DE hotel… lisää

Almost 30 minutes drive to Hanover at the down town Burgwedel. 20 minutes walking to Groseburgwedel central station (HBF) although these are bus stations next to the Hotel. Rooms are lovely ,clean with basic amenities. All the facilities including breakfast fits in a 3 stars scale of an DE hotel, except English lack which may encounter in all around the city. It would be more convenient to go there by Car instead to feel much more tranquil.
