I was upgraded to a suite which was possibly the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in, and certainly the only one that has two separate bathrooms ! I was upgraded to a suite which was possibly the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in, and certainly the only one that has two separate bathrooms ! The suite had seperate bedroom and lounge and nice big balcony with sun-beds overlooking the Elbe. Parking is free and safe and behind the hotel (left up a slight incline). I believe it charges for WiFi which in 2018 seems incredible. Would they charge for water and electricity too ? The only downside to the hotel was the fact that the reception is actually over the river, across a little bridge, and completely separate from the hotel, which is a lot of hassle for both check-in and check-out. This isn't made clear at booking to even at the hotel. Across the bridge (where reception is) is a nice restaurant with tables outside. Good food and not that expensive. But for all its minor faults I would highly recommend, especially as a couple with a few days to relax.

We stayed here during our Cuxhaven-Prague cycle tour, the hotel has a secure room for bicycles and we met other cyclists there. The hotel occupies a few buildings in the historic center. The room we had was huge, very clean and comfy. We didn’t even use half of it. We arrived late and missed dinner so went out for Greek the only other option in town.

“Royal stay”

One of the best hotels we ever have stayed in Germany. Large rooms and actually huge sized bathrooms. We had a nice view to the city. The rooms are very good isolated and you hear nothing wheb the windows are closed. The same as many other places in Germany, the staff speak no English. For sure I… lisää

“On a cycling tour from Hamburg to Berlin.”

We arrived at the trip advisor mentioned address but were sent across the river to the Café Dierks where our room was booked . It was a complete other type of building. However we have received a nice greeting at the café Dierks, our bikes were secured in a garage and the room was absolutely lovely. Very good breakfast buffet and very clean Hotel.
